Responsibilities & accountabilities
The head of SCP manages the overall Sales & Operations Planning process across a footprint of 10 manufacturing sites and various overseas sources supporting the European Strategic Business Unit.
You will be operating as an individual contributor working cross functionally with stakeholders from finance, sales, marketing, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain to lead the global S&OP process and enable the executive/leadership team to continually achieve synchronization across the organization.
This includes strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing supply and demand; aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability; managing the EOL and NPI phases; and supporting the integration of the financial and operating plans to deliver improved operating and financial results.
You will serve as a consolidation point creating a robust communication system between sales, R&D and operations.
Key responsibilities encompasses:
1. Overall accountability for the execution of the industrialization planning, production planning, import planning, distribution planning processes, product data management, and pro-active & balanced communication of issues (~50%)
2. SAP/APO and OMP business process ownership (~30%) 3. Development of people and organization (~20%)
Quantitative data
Yearly flow of circa 40 M units across 5000 IPC to manage both in production across 10 plants, in distribution across 30 DCs and in sales & delivery towards tenth of thousands of delivery points
Has a strong influence on logistic costs of circa 250M€ and on manufacturing activities of several thousand people
Also contributes to execution of sales worth several billions Euros / year across Europe Lead directly a central planning team made of 30-40 individuals including projects

accountabilities:
Guide the team in setting up a balanced master plan and detailed plan which takes into account operations efficiency, inventory and customer service.
Be accountable for the team results and objectives by setting an executable plan for production, on time availability of finished products towards customers.
Create and maintain relationships, internally and externally, that allow the supply base to interpret demand and inventory requirements and respond with the right capacity, products and schedules to meet customer requirements. Proactively identify constraints or potential issues and develop options for resolution.
Develop an annual business plan that meet demand and inventory expectations and ensure its attainment.
Lead the S&OP process by ensuring the functions adhere to the Monthly Planning Process and provides input into the management reviews.
Ensure accuracy of the planning parameters within relevant systems.

Main
accountabilities:
Lead the implementation of an end-to-end planning suite throughout Product Lifecycle Management, Demand Planning , Inventory Planning, Supply Planning and Distribution Planning.
Translate and validate the business requirements into process requirements
Understand the consequence of the planning process changes for the organization
Align with the key stakeholders to get the most out of process changes KPI: Project delivered in spec, in budget and on time. Business case delivered.

Accountable for the further development of the capabilities of the team. Ensure recruitment, development and retention of high performing associates, including career paths in order to develop global leadership.
Develop and maintain objectives, development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for all associates.

Credentials
Education (type & level) : MS/MBA degree in Business, Logistics, Economics, Supply Chain or similar areas is required
Professional
certification(s) : Industry relevant certifications (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, APICS)
Professional experience :
o 10-15 years of experience in SCM (Supply Chain Management) o Preferably within the FMCG or life science or other sectors with
high upstream complexity
o In depth planning experience in complex muti-source multi country environment
o With general knowledge of all supply chain functions: logistic, customer service, procurement, …
o Experience in manufacturing and/or in sales is an advantage o Knowledge and in-depth experience of SAP/APO or other similar
planning suite (APS) is required.
o A minimum of 5-7 years people management/supervisory experience is required.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels and all functions in the organisation
o Ability to make executive presentations to top management o Multi-cultural, experience in pan-European / multi-country
environment
