The AUL Academy is an exciting, customized, comprehensive skill enhancement program designed to rapidly accelerate the learning and education of a Sales Leader in partnership with their District Sales Managers and Upline Sales Leader. Avon has partnered with the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance to create a customized ELITE (Educating Leaders in Transformational Excellence) Program for qualified Avon Unit Leaders. The following are some of the Frequently Asked Questions those interested in participating in the program may have.
1. Who is the DSWA and why are they involved?
The Direct Selling Women’s Alliance is a professional organization dedicated to educating, supporting and inspiring home based entrepreneurs involved in Direct Selling / Network Marketing. Through their online community and mastermind book club meetings, the DSWA provides a wealth of industry-specific guidance to members in more than 30 countries, working with over 300 Direct Selling Companies.
The ELITE Leadership Certification program was developed by the DSWA after years of studying how top leaders within the direct selling profession achieved and maintained success. Avon has partnered with the DSWA to provide Sales Leaders with a customized ELITE Certification Program and the support they will need to help them take their business to the next level. Being selected to participate in AUL Academy and the ELITE Leadership Certification Course will be one of the most significant steps a Sales Leader can take on their pathway to reaching Senior Executive Unit Leader status.
2. What does a Sales Leader have to do to qualify to participate in AUL Academy and the ELITE Certification Program?
There are two different ways a Sales Leaders can qualify to attend the AUL Academy program:
First, a Representative in the Mid-Atlantic Sales Area who successfully completes the Training Leader (TL) program in either C-3 or C-4 and achieves an average order of $200 or more in personal Award Sales, +6 Orders over base and have a growth of 1 Unit Leader and/or 3 Candidates over their base in their 1st Generation can qualify to attend.
Second, an existing Unit Leader in the Mid-Atlantic Sales Area who has one Unit Leader or 3 Candidates in their 1st Generation Downline and who has achieved at least 2 Recruiting Bonuses in Believe in Your Success in the 4 campaigns prior to reaching eligibility for AUL Academy (C-1 – C-4, 2012) can also qualify to attend.

3. What is the benefit of this program of the AUL Academy to a Sales Leader? Why should they want to participate?
Along with the strong partnership and support from their District Sales Manager, a qualified Sales Leader will be eligible to enroll in the customized DSWA ELITE Leadership Certification Course. With a suggested value of $550, the Elite Certification Course will be offered FREE to qualified Sales Leaders.
Using the Rapid Learning System this course will help a Sales Leader enhance their skills and develop further in Sales Leadership potentially reaching the level of AUL and beyond. By achieving success in this program participants will have the opportunity to increase their earnings potential as they continue to personally advance as well as by achieving bonuses as they grow and mentor their Downline.
As a graduate of the program, a Sales Leader may be eligible for the AUL Advancement Bonus, (depending on when they achieved Unit Leader for the first time). In addition, participants in the Mid-Atlantic pilot who graduates from the program and advance to AUL will also earn a trip to Orlando, FL for a live training workshop.
4. Is there any cost for a Sales Leader to participate in the AUL Academy or the Elite Certification Program?
No, while the program does have a $550 value, there is no cost to the Sales Leader who qualifies to participate in the AUL Academy program or the Elite Certification Program.
5. When is the training seminar in Orlando Fl?
It will be held in mid to late August, 2012.
6. Why is AUL Academy only available to Sales Leaders in the Mid-Atlantic Sales Area?
We are currently piloting the program in Mid-Atlantic as an extension of the Training Leader program. We will be expanding nationally to all Areas throughout 2012 and early 2013 after successful completion of the pilot program.
7. What will the time commitment be for those Sales Leaders who participate?
The AUL Academy is a short and intense program with the expectation that participants will advance to the AUL level within 6 campaigns. To successfully complete the program, it is estimated that the initial time commitment needed is approximately 20-25 hours per week of business development activities and course time.

8. How does a Sales Leader enroll in the ELITE Leadership Certification program?
Participants of the AUL Academy will be notified of their qualification via email. In the email, they will find instructions on how to register in the ELITE Certification program through the program’s website.
9. When must a Sales Leader enroll in the program?
A Sales Leader must enroll within 72 hours of receiving the link and email notification in order to receive their supplies in time to begin their online classes.
10. What if Sales Leader is participating in the Training Leader Program and does not pass Gate 3? Can they still enroll in the AUL Academy?
A Training Leader who does not pass Gate 3 may attend the AUL Academy if they qualify under the guidelines for current ASLF eligible participants.
11. What happens if a Sales Leader misses one of the 6 AUL Academy / ELITE Certification Live Training Modules or the 6 Group Coaching Sessions? Can they take them at another time? Can they graduate if they don't complete all 6 Modules / Coaching Calls?
If a participant misses one of the live Modules or Coaching Calls, they can listen to a playback and complete the course assignments and assessment. The participant has until the end of the 6 campaigns of the AUL Academy program to complete all of the assignments and self-assessments. All the webcasts are recorded and can be accessed at a later time.
All participants MUST complete all 6 Modules and Coaching Calls to earn the ELITE Training Program Certification and be eligible to graduate from the AUL Academy as an Advanced Unit Leader.
12. Does a participant need computer access to participate in this program? What if they don't have computer access?
Yes participants in this program will need computer access. As part of the ELITE training program participants will have to register online to gain access to the live webcasts and training modules, print additional materials and complete the self-assessments. For those participants that do not have a computer, it is recommended that they visit a public library, an internet café, or ask a friend or family member to use their computer.

13. What additional support will be available to help participants be successful?As part of AUL Academy, participants will have the on-going partnership and support from their District Sales Manager. Their DSM will assist the participants in planning; Field Coaching and other activities, along with campaign by campaign planning and mileposts. This will include 30, 60 and 90 day business plans to help support the participants in achieving their AUL goal.
In addition to the support of their District Sales Manager, participants will have access to online support materials in the ELITE program. These will include worksheets, weekly planning documents & checklist, assessments, pre-recorded teleconferences, downloadable audio leader interviews and the Build It Big Book Series (Build It Big, More Build It Big, The Build It Big e-Workbook). Plus, they will have exclusive access to the online ELITE Course area, an ELITE Leadership Binder and much through the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance website for two years.
14. What does a participant get for completing ELITE Certification and reaching AUL?
Participants who successfully complete the program earn the designation of Advanced Unit Leader, AUL Academy graduate and ELITE Leadership Certification. They also may earn the Advancement bonus for becoming an AUL (if this is their 1st time achieving this title). In addition, Mid-Atlantic Academy achievers will also earn the opportunity to attend the live training and graduation seminar |in Orlando, Florida.
15. In what campaign does a participant who graduates from the Mid-Atlantic pilot have to title to Advanced Unit Leader in order to be invited to Orlando AUL academy live training and graduation?
A participant in the Mid-Atlantic pilot who graduates from the program must title as an AUL by C-12 and maintain their title to attend the graduation training seminar.
16. When will the sessions for the program be held? Is it the same time every 2 weeks?
The ELITE Certification Course starts on Thursday, March 8th. There will be 6 unique modules (Visionary Planning, Creating Community, Coaching, Team Building, Training Your Team and Business Management). Each module of the program will occur every 2 weeks (every campaign) with a live webinar scheduled for Thursday evenings @ 6:00 pm est. and on the alternate week, a live group coaching call will be held @ 6:00 pm EST. In addition, the participants can access online content and materials at their convenience.

17. How does a participant "pass" a module?To complete or "pass" a module, participants will need to complete the six steps within each module and the "advancement online questionnaire" in order to proceed to the next module. These steps include:
1. Guide – Download, Print & Review the Module Guide
2. Handouts – Print the Handouts, Attend the Live Webinar and take notes during the call 3. Forms – Print Forms, Outlines & Training Tools and complete them
4. Resources – Refer to your Build It Big book series, listen to the online audio interviews, attend and participate in Group Coaching Calls
5. Target Tasks – Track and celebrate your personal progress and complete the tasks associated with the module
6. Advance – Complete the Advancement Form. This demonstrates that you have accomplished all the steps within a particular module and will alert us that you are advancing through the program.
A participant who completes these 6 steps will receive a "Pass" grade for that specific module once they have submitted their Advancement Form.
18. How does a participant achieve ELITE Certification?
Participants achieve Elite Certification through the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance by completing all 6 modules, the assignments, and the advancement online questionnaire. In addition they must achieve the title of Advanced Unit Leader or beyond.
19. If a participant reaches ELITE Certification, can they use that in their title or in promoting their business?
Yes, those who successfully complete the program can designate themselves as “ELITE Certified” through the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance.
20. When a participant graduates from AUL Academy, can they use this on this on their business card, and promote it in their business.
Yes, those who successfully complete the program and graduated can use the AUL Academy logo on their business cards and to promote their business. Doing so is a great way to entice new and existing team members to ask more about this unique opportunity.
21. Can a Sales Leader participate if they have been an AUL in the past but are no longer an AUL?

22. Can a Sales Leader participate if they have successfully completed the TL program and are already an AUL?
Yes, because of their achievement, they will be eligible to participate in AUL Academy.
23. What is the District Sales Manager’s role throughout this process?
A District Sales Manager will have an active role in supporting a Sales Leader throughout their time in the AUL Academy. A District Sales Manager will serve as a Sales Leader’s coach and champion throughout the process, beginning with 90 day Business Planning, Field Coaching and Campaign by Campaign planning and supports.
24. What is an Upline Sales Leader’s role throughout this process?
An Upline Sales Leader would be another coach and champion. They would be there to help encourage a Sales Leader to enroll in AUL Academy and support them as they you complete their modules and planning sessions. An Upline Sales Leader with also meet with participants on an on-going basis to mentor them and help them enhance their skills to ultimately achieve Advanced Unit Leader status.
25. Will Advanced Unit Leader Academy be available in Spanish?
The Mid-Atlantic area pilot will only be available in English. We will provide Spanish AUL Academy in late 2012 / early 2013.
