Who are we?

iDEA COUNT is the dedicated team of educators from Power Mac Center that teaches Apple Professional Development Workshops for educators all over the world.

Why the name iDEA COUNT?

The name iDEA COUNT comes from the anagram of the word "EDUCATION". Aside that it's engaging to play around with words once in a while, we also seek the value of our pursuit which is: Education. We believe that in order for you to learn and teach others one must respect the ideas and knowledge of each and everyone. In that notion we developed the true meaning of iDEA COUNT, we give credence that every idea, counts. What's Apple Professional Development (APD)?

According to Apple, APD offers a range of Professional Development workshops in leadership, basic skills, curriculum integration, and more. These hands-on workshops are held at your school or district site and they’re designed to make sure you’re using your Apple products most effectively to transform teaching and learning. What does Power Mac Center do?

Power Mac Center is the first Apple Authorized Training Center in the Philippines, it offers trainings from Apple Certification and Non-Certification Courses along with it is the Apple Professional Development (APD) that caters the needs of educators all over the world. Why choose us?

Fundamentals of Apple Technology in Education

Overview

As part of Power Mac and iDEA COUNT strong commitment to education, we offer hands-on training workshops tailor-fit for your institution’s specific needs and preferred schedule. These training module are designed to help teachers and IT discover the beauty of Apple technology and start using it to make classroom teaching and learning become more engaging.

Pre-requisites

Familiarity with Apple Mac OS and iOS will be an advantage but not required. Attendees are expected to be familiar with basic knowledge of any computer and its parts. The session will be 1:1 or 1:2 computer and participant ratio. However, ideal setup would be one computer and iOS per participant for maximum learning. Minimum class size is 10 and maximum would be 20.

If the school has not purchased yet its Mac and iOS devices, demo units can be arranged. Apple Professional Development consultant will handle the training sessions to ensure that quality of training is maintained all throughout the training period.

iDEA COUNT in partnership with Power Mac Center offers Apple Professional Development programs. This program is organised in five (5) portions:

Leadership Workshop

The offerings that we have in Leadership Workshop could assist educators and leaders in visioning and planning for transforming teaching and learning with technology. Before starting the workshop we ask the educators to answer our 15-minute online self- assessment, we call it Education Technology Profile (ETP). ETP gathers information about educators’ technology skills and infusion practices within an institution, school, or district. After taking the self-assessment test we would study the result and weight up the outcome based on Dr. Ruben Puentedura’s SAMR model, by doing such we could analyze the spot that we need to focus to strengthen the competency of each educators.

Foundation Workshop

Just like leadership, competency and confidence is necessity when it comes to teaching, you have to be competent and confident every time you deliver your lessons. One way of developing our competency and confidence is be self-assured that you know how to use your mediums properly. As what Thomas Mann once said, “Order and simplification are the first steps toward the mastery of a subject.” Before we master the 21st technology, we have to know the basics and dwell with its foundations first.

There shall be a scheduled discussion with SSC-R’s decisioning body prior the start of the project. We will make sure that every detail is convenient to the party involved.

Our APD Consultants shall deliver the agreed workshops, all of the invoice and legal papers shall be send within the next 48 hours.
