CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 139

We’ve come to worship God, who loved us before we were yet born, who knows us even better than we know ourselves, whose

presence never leaves us, and whose love for us never ceases.

This is our God.

anything, but I won’t be controlled, dominated by anything that not benefic . Don’t you know that you have the Holy Spirit from God, and you don’t belong to yourselves?20You have been bought and paid for, so honor God with your body.

*THE GOSPEL READING John 1:43-51 Karalee Lamon

43The next day Jesus wanted to go into Galilee, and he found Philip. Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”44Philip was from Bethsaida, the hometown of Andrew and Peter.

45Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law and the Prophets: Jesus, Joseph’s son, from Nazareth.”

46Nathanael responded, “Can anything from Nazareth be good?”

Philip said, “Come and see.”

47Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said about him, “Here is a genuine Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”

48Nathanael asked him, “How do you know me?”

Jesus answered,“Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”

49Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are God’s Son. You are the king of Israel.”

50Jesus answered,“Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see great-er things than these!51I assure you that you will see heaven open and God’s angels going up to heaven and down to earth on the Human One.”

All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
