eLAS is a webapplications to manage LETS (Local Exchange and Trading System) groups. It was written in PHP with a MySQL backend and has a rich AJAX based interface. ELAS installations can be coupled through a SOAP interface.

(SCKCEN) – MOL

The SCKCEN is the Belgian Nuclear Research Center (government funded and controlled). It does research in the nuclear area, but also into Decision Strategy and related information systems.

SCK-CEN has a Linux Beowulf computing cluster with over 100 nodes. This cluster is used to simulate long-term nuclear reactions that help scientists in many ways, allowing them to

It was my job to keep the cluster running, to plan and implement cluster expansions and to support all programs that ran on it (mostly nuclear codes coming from high profile

institutes like Los Alamos).

In addition, I managed several smaller Linux and Unix systems ranging from Apache web-servers to Decision Support Systems.

As the project leader, I analysed the requirements of the site together with the customer to build a complete set of initial requirements. With the requirements, I developed an implementation plan and I oversaw the development of the site that is due to go live in the spring of 2011.

SVK is a company in the construction industry. As with many companies, they were running MS-Exchange as their groupware platform.

I was involved very early in the pre-sales phase of this project and guided the customer to their eventual choice of the Zarafa Collaboration Platform.

Following the decision for this new system, I did the project management of the installation of the new server on virtual infrastructure (Xen on Linux) and the migration of existing data in the Exchange database to the new groupware server.

Most of the mission critical software at J & J runs on top of SuSE, Red Hat Linux or HP-UX

I was part of the Belgian administration team, located in Beerse. Though this was a local team, we deployed and provided support for systems all over the world.

I implemented a full groupware solution and Anti-spam gateway for Borgerstein VZW including the RHEL servers that power the groupware environment.

The Antispam gateway is based on Spamtitan, a commercial product running on a FreeBSD operating system and totally manageable from our helpdesk.

My main tasks where to implement the Zarafa Groupware solution (Exchange alternative running on Linux but using Outlook and MAPI protocol), installing and tuning the Spamtitan mail gateway. Technologies: Zarafa, Postfix, RHEL, SELinux, Spamtitan
