e are proud to feature the students of the Gied Music School Full Scholarship Division for our 4th Annual Spring Gala Benefit Concert. The Spring Gala Benefit Concert is our largest fundraising event of the year providing the operating funds vital to creating a new standard of music education.

In five short years, the Gied Music School has established itself as the premier music school for children in Utah. Located in the heart of Salt Lake City, everyday the nationally recognized school is making a profound difference in the lives and future of children. Year round, the school offers to everyone in our community world class music lessons, classes, early childhood education, Suzuki training, a publicly funded summer camp program for all children, open classrooms, orchestra, recitals, and masterclasses--and this is just the beginning!

None of this would happen without YOU, and people and businesses like YOU who CARE about the future of our community. Program income covers less than 40% of actual operating expenses. The rest comes from donations, grants, business sponsorships and volunteer support.

I hope you will consider supporting the Gied Music School and become a part of the community who support world-class children’s music education for ALL children. Your sponsorship makes possible for the Gied Music School to provide the highest level of music education to children in Utah. Your gi goes directly towards offseing the operating expenses of keeping our doors open.

Whatever you can give, it will be used to create a beer tomorrow through music education for every child.

Become a sponsor and join us for a night of brilliant music making by students of the Gied Music School Full Scholarship Division–this concert sells out every year! It will be an unforgeable event!

See you all soon and thank you for your support! Warmly,

EUGENE WATANABE

ABOUT THE GIFTED MUSIC SCHOOL

The Gied Music School’s (26-3463598) mission is to inspire and enhance children through comprehensive music education for every level. This 501(c)3 approved organization was founded in 2008 by Salt Lake City native and award-winning performing artist, Eugene Watanabe. The school has achieved national and local acclaim on NPR, KBYU, KUED, Deseret News, and Salt Lake Tribune. Students come from all over the state of Utah to receive world-class education in music. Gied Music School strives to bring innovative and engaging programs to the community, by providing the highest quality educators with flexible curriculums designed to nurture and develop musical training and experiences for any child from novice to the most advanced.

Gied Music School stands on three pillars to provide the most encompassing and broadness of spectrum of programming. (1) The Academy which is the cornerstone of what GMS has to offer trains those most serious and commied of students with the highest aspirations for musical achievement. These talented young musicians come from all over the Wasatch Front and beyond and draw acclaim to the state of Utah for their accomplishments in the arts; (2) Utilizing the same level faculty and same curriculum, the Preparatory Division is a community based program which invites aendance of individuals at any age who seek beginning or a continued opportunity to expand musical development; and (3) Outreach. Commied to service, the Gied Music Schools outreach programs instill in students the value of giving back to the community to make our state a stronger and beer place to live. Our biggest goal is to build long-term relationships with schools and communities in an effort to support an infrastructure that not only educates students in the arts, but also with life skills naturally embedded in the arts.

At our March 29 Gala we celebrate and honor our Academy students. Through your support and scholarships made through proceeds of this gala we remove all financial barriers for inclusion into this program. And, by establishing entrance based upon panel audition the Academy’s Youth Orchestra has become one of the finest in the country. Consider a sponsorship, enjoy the music and help to change a life.
