information.

Provident Funding’s superior culture begins with our selective hiring model and continues with our extensive training programs. We provide training and mentorship to all of our employees, guiding and preparing them to be dynamic and well-rounded mortgage professionals. As an example, we have outlined a sample of a program for our Pipeline Analyst position.
Weeks 1 & 2
Provident Funding University
The trainee will complete and pass all sections and quizzes of Provident Funding University, our proprietary training software.
Topics range from Investor, State and Federal Guidelines to tips and helpful insight about daily work activities.
During PFU training, a trainer will be available to provide assistance and answer questions, as necessary.
Week 3
Classroom Training
The trainee will be introduced to the Retail Division and given a well-rounded idea of the operations, structure and objectives they will assist in accomplishing.
A detailed review of the entire loan process will be given while also applying concepts specific to the trainee’s new position, such as:
o Pipeline management and objective prioritization techniques,
o Tips to effectively communicate with borrowers, fellow employees and third party service providers (i.e. Insurance Companies, Title Co. Representatives, Financial Institutions, etc.)
o And how to quickly and efficiently review the various documents required to obtain a mortgage. The trainee will then be educated in the day-to-day Policies and Procedures of the Retail Division.
All of which will be accompanied by peer-to-peer hands-on training to develop the trainee’s skills as well as question and answer sessions to further educate the trainee about what will be required of them.
Weeks 4-7
During the last 3 weeks, the trainee will manage and fund loans under the supervision and guidance of their Branch Lead. At the end of the training program, the trainee will build and manage their own portfolio.
Subsequent Trainings
After the analyst demonstrates success in their new role, additional training in underwriting, funding, strategic customer communication and pipeline management may be provided.
