“Equity release allows

clients to generate cash

from the value of their

home as a lump sum or to

increase income stream.”

Key Partnerships provide an equity release referral service through

Key Retirement, the UK’s No. 1 equity release specialist. By referring

to us, you can offer more options to your clients in or approaching

retirement.

Over recent years, the equity release market has seen lower

interest rates coinciding with an increase in house prices and a

new generation of retirees that are more acceptant of using equity

release to boost their finances. We have seen trends emerging on

the main uses for equity release and why more and more over 55s

are using this as a financial solution.

We want you to take advantage of this expanding market, and grow

your business by offering equity release to your clients. Our simple

referral process means you can offer more options to your clients

without impacting on your resources.

About Key Partnerships

KR Group was established in 1998 and Key Partnerships

were one of the UK’s first equity release advisory

services.

In 2004 the directors bought the company, giving them autonomy and so were able to drive the company forward. By 2005 the company had won a Mortgage Strategy award which helped to create a great reputation within the industry and build trust amongst clients. Three of the four founding directors are still a big part of the company today, which has expanded from just 6 people to over 300 members of staff.

As the business has grown, so have the services that we offer. Key Partnerships was formed in 2005 to offer intermediaries a combination of specialist expertise in the equity release market, access to preferential terms and special offers from a whole of market lending panel.

Key’s position as the UK’s No.1 equity release specialist has been recognised with over 50 industry and consumer awards.

Will Hale – Business Development Director

Will is responsible for growing new channels of distribution for Key Retirement. Through working with building societies, life companies, banks, affinity groups and intermediary partners Key are committed to developing innovative propositions to help customers access retirement lending solutions.

Will joined Key in March 2014 from specialist annuity provider Partnership, where he was Director of Corporate Partnerships. He is an experienced relationship manager and has also performed senior sales and proposition development roles focused on the retirement market including as

Commercial Leader for Genworth’s European Retirement and Protection business and as Head of Distribution at Lincoln Financial Group.

Will’s early career was spent in the asset management and investment banking sectors working for JP Morgan and UBS where he was again focussed on the pensions market developing solutions and managing relationships with large UK DC and DB schemes.

Aimee Lane – Senior Business Development Manager Aimee has been with Key Partnerships for over 9 years, which has given her a wealth of experience both within the equity release market and within the business.

Over the past few years, Aimee has developed a close working relationship with The Legal and General Mortgage Club and the Mortgage Advice Bureau.

“I am always happy to support advisers by helping them to identify an equity release opportunity, either through joint marketing activities or by searching their client database to find the right customer. I have often attended team meetings and presented key trends in the equity release market to develop an awareness of this growing market.”

Mike Hardy – Executive Business Development Manager Mike joined Key Partnerships with over 20 years’ experience within the retirement financial services sector, to including working as an IFA for over 5 years. This puts him in good stead to understand the challenges faced by advisers working within this industry, and therefore manages Key’s relationship with First Complete and Intrinsic.

“I am keen to help advisers who are looking at equity release as an opportunity to expand their product offering. I understand the importance of being able to offer financial options to people in or approaching retirement, as I myself have been in the situation where I wasn’t able to help my clients with the solution that equity release can provide.”

Victoria Taylor – Business Development Manager Victoria has been a Business Development Manager with Key Retirement since September 2014. She is responsible for managing relationships with large intermediary network partners as well as the building society sector where Key has a number of established equity release referral arrangements in place. Victoria has extensive experience of the retirement market and the intermediary sector.

“Prior to joining Key, I worked at specialist annuity provider Partnership where I was responsible for managing a panel of generalist IFAs and specialist retirement firms. This has given me a great insight into the challenges faced by IFAs and how an intermediary partner can prove to be an invaluable resource.”

Don’t just take our word for it…

Key manage the whole process so it’s very simple, client feedback has been great and you get a cheque at the end!

Chris Poore, Kingston Mortgage Services Limited

I firmly believe that the equity release market will only become more important as time goes on and more and more people find that their pension provision is not sufficient to meet their needs in retirement. Having worked with Victoria and the team at Key since they joined the Openwork panel last year, I have been very pleased with the proactivity of their approach and their willingness to work closely with us providing appropriate advice to our clients and helping us identify the potential opportunities that equity release can provide.

Nick Hayes, Pia Financial Services

I would definitely use Key again and I am more than happy with the way the system works. For one phone call I received a very nice cheque for £709! Adviser, IMC Limited

We offer products from the whole market, not just a panel
