Processing printed documents
Microsoft Dynamics NAV off ers a number of ways to generate even legacy documents and reports. The ELO BLP Output Manager and ELO BLP - PDF Processor components included with ELO BLP then allow you to process printouts from Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
PDF or TIFF documents can be generated for every printed document and report. The documents are then indexed completely automatically (via "keywording" with data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV or third-party systems). It is possible to generate any document type from a profi le using background forms in order to fi le documents in the ELO system in an intuitive way.
It is even possible to fi le short-term documents and reports that cease to be available once they are created. When print data is processed, the docu-ments are not just fi led, but the content attached to them is also organized (classifi cation, indexing, structure, permissions etc.). This is done for all types of fi ling.
You can also specify that documents that are fi led multiple times should be stored as a new version of the original document. With this, the entire change and version history of a document is saved and can be traced in ELO.

This module optimally supports the incoming invoice process through intelligent document data extraction and flexible item-related incoming invoice verification – including data validation. This reduces throughput times to a mini-mum and avoids redundant data recording.

Making the most of e-mails
Storing and processing e-mails is of central impor-tance when it comes to universal provision of infor-mation. To maintain their validity (e.g. from the perspective of tax law), e-mails should generally be stored in their original format.
With ELO BLP, e-mails are not just filed based on purely technical considerations; they can also be assigned to business partners or processes in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Assigning your e-mails to structured data is the only way to keep them easily and securely accessible.
These options for comprehensive content management are offered client-based directly in Microsoft Outlook, or with the ELO XC module on the server. Alongside the Microsoft Office solutions, additional client- and server-side modules are available for IBM Notes and Tobit.

ELO BLP integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and also offers rule-based document filing and integration into Microsoft Dynamics NAV objects and processes.
Processing is fast and convenient. When filing a document, information from Microsoft Dynamics NAV or other sources can be looked up or valida-ted, if needed. The intuitive and user-friendly operation is important for high user acceptance, which in turn is a basis for comprehensive docu-ment managedocu-ment and fully transparent business events.
File to the right place automatically via drag-and-drop
Dropzones are a quick filing interface that allow you to process files from a range of different sources via a simple drag-and-drop. This can be done according to purely technical requirements or based on the file contents (e.g. for Microsoft Dynamics NAV objects or processes). When filing according to content, the Dropzone can also offer filing options appropriate to the context of the current task from Microsoft Dynamics NAV - e.g. filing by customer, order or project. The filing target for indivi-dual activities (e.g. current projects or customers) can be defined using Favorites. The Dropzone can be made available via the user desktop or integrated into Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Web clients and context-sensitive user support are available in SharePoint and for a range of other systems and web applications. For example, users can move documents from the local desktop to a project management team webpage and assign them to a project through a simple drag-and-drop operation. This one action covers not just the upload itself, but also the complete processing of the document in line with organizational guidelines.

The user is at the focus of the action for this.
