The interactivity of Sateon delivers numerous benefits to end users. For instance, forced door messages are sent directly from Sateon to the specific CCTV camera to monitor the event in question. New employees are automatically enrolled with their individual access privileges thanks to integration with third party HR databases, thus reducing duplication of tasks for HR and Security. This new employee can arrive for their first day and be guided to their relevant floor, while lights and air conditioning automatically switch off as they leave at the end of their working day. Product Description
EZ Intelligent Door Controllers The EZ Intelligent Door Controller (IDC) is a building block for your Sateon Access Control system. The EZ IDC which comes in two versions; Ethernet and RS485, provides two reader inputs for one or two door configurations. Offering an alarm input for general system use, a tamper input to protect the panel enclosure and status monitoring for two break glass units.
EZ IP Line Header The IP Line Header is used to connect a legacy RS485 field network to the main Sateon network. Each Sateon field network can support 32 field network nodes which can be door and I/O controllers.
EZ Intelligent I/O Controllers The EZ I/O controller is used with Sateon Access Control software and connects directly to the system network via an IP switch, with no other data connection required. The EZ RS485 I/O controllers can be connected inline with up to 32 controller nodes to form a Sateon ‘Field Network’. This in turn connects to the Sateon PC network via an IP Line Header.
EZ Box The Sateon EZ-box is an ultra-compact mini-PC, for use with Sateon Access Control. It is a low power, embedded PC system which is suitable for systems up to 500 panels and 2000 token holders. The Sateon EZ-box incorporates 4 USB ports, so an external memory device can be used to ensure a back-up of the database is preserved, however the modular design of the EZ-box means that memory and storage can be easily upgraded.
Sateon Readers Sateon Prox and Key Prox readers are 86mm square readers designed to mount directly on the electrical back box. Both readers are easy to install, thanks to their vertical and horizontal mounting holes and metal back plate. Both readers have an IP68 rating.

Take Brunel University, London for example; Harry Blethyn and his Technical Services Team designed a solution that would suit Brunel University’s exact requirements and link into their student database to reduce duplication of tasks when it came to issuing access cards to newly enrolled students. Not only did Harry’s team take the project from conception to installation, they were on hand to help administrators get the most out of our time saving database integration solutions on enrolment day when Brunel University put Sateon through its paces with the enrolment of 11,000 new students. It is this level of service, combined with industry-leading features that kept Brunel University coming back to Grosvenor Technology since we first installed their original Grosvenor JANUS Access Control system back in 1993.

Plug and Play Deployment
Traditionally, a skilled member of your I.T team would need to go to location and set up your workforce management terminal. However, with Grosvenor’s plug and play deployment, you can simply plug in your terminal via IP line, enabling the terminal to auto configure without the need to send skilled, expensive staff to site. Our internal support teams can remotely assist with installation, meaning that you can increase the number of terminals deployed, across a larger distance, at a lower cost.
