Software Update for Clinical Audit and/or Contract Manager in Wales

There is now a software patch available for your Clinical Audit and/or Contract Manager software.

Please note this version requires version 3.1.8f to function correctly.

This patch contains a complete revision of all reports supporting the nGMS Contract Quality and Outcomes Framework Logical Indicator Specification.

These reports have passed the ‘Pre-conformance’ testing by the National Programme for IT for all iSOFT products. This is part of the overall accreditation process for GMS Quality and Outcomes Framework reporting tools.

This is a large update to your software and in order for the new rules and read codes to be picked up your databases will be emptied and you will have to run a new audit.

Please note: The download will not empty your aspirations:

REMEMBER TO INSTALL THE PATCH ON ALL RELEVANT WORKSTATIONS AND SERVERS THAT CURRENTLY HAVE CLINICAL AUDIT AND CONTRACT MANAGER.

STEP 1

You will have already logged on as prompted with your unique password and viewed a web page containing information pertaining to your practice. Ensure you have checked the information carefully and any discrepancies must be reported to MSD Informatics Support before selecting a download.

STEP 2

Please note that this version does not supersede any previous version and requires a copy version 3.1.8 installed on all relevant workstations.

This can be confirmed by going to “Start” then “Programs” then “MSD Informatics” then “CA Diagnostics” and checking “Last FULL Install Version” in the “General settings” tab.

STEP 3

Installing the latest version 4.1.5

NB - This step needs to be undertaken on ALL relevant Workstations and Servers that currently have Clinical Audit and Contract Manager software.

Please Read all of the instructions below first, then select the hyperlink at the end of this document and the following screen will display……

Click ‘Save’

Select ‘Desktop’ in the “Save in” box

Click ‘Save’

NB – When the following screen appears – Select ‘Close’

YOU HAVE NOW SAVED THE PATCH FOR YOUR PRACTICE – Proceed to Step 3

(Advanced Users Only)

For advanced users, you can save the file to a shared folder on your network to eliminate the need to download it on every workstation.

STEP 4

NB - This step needs to be undertaken on ALL relevant Workstations and Servers that currently have Clinical Audit and Contract Manager to correctly install the patch. If you are unsure, you can tell that Clinical Audit and/or Contract Manager are installed on a Workstation or Server by the presence of the following two desktop shortcuts:

From the Desktop, locate the saved file

Double click on the icon to run the patch. – Proceed to Step 5

(Advanced Users Only)

From the Windows ‘Start’ button, select ‘Run’

STEP 6

Once the patch has completed running, double-click on the ‘MIQUEST Query Utility’ icon on the Windows desktop:

The following screen will appear. Ensure that the correct clinical system is selected. If not, simply select the appropriate tick box and then select ‘Close’:

STEP 7

Once you have completed installing the patch on ALL your Workstations and Servers that have Clinical Audit and/or Contract Manager installed, please complete the process with the following step.

From ONE of your workstations or server on the Windows Desktop double-click the ‘Populate Clinical Audit’ icon:

• NB Please ensure that nothing interferes (e.g. back up, links etc) when you are

Populating Clinical Audit – if the population does not run to completion you will notice that the clinical indicators within Contract Manager are zero and that you will therefore have to re-populate.

• As previously stated this is a large update and can approximately take between 4 –

17hrs to populate.

• Subsequent populations of Clinical Audit and/or Contract Manager will take

significantly less time

YOU ARE NOW READY TO START THE DOWNLOAD

• Install the following patch on ALL relevant Workstations and Servers that

currently have Clinical Audit and/or Contract Manager installed:
