RN to BSN
RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing The online RN to BSN program offers a research base for nursing practice that promotes the ability of the nurse to affect changes necessary for the improvement of health.
In the study of professional nursing, the student builds on a planned general education for the academic
disciplines and acquires theoretical and specific knowledge to meet health care needs.
In addition, the curriculum provides opportunity for students with technical nursing education to expand their knowledge and scope of practice.
The baccalaureate program establishes a foundation for graduate education in nursing and for continued personal and professional development.
MSN
Master of Science in NursingThe online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program offers a concentration for the nurse educator.
The program prepares graduates to assume teaching roles to develop the next generation of nurses and to provide leadership for evidence- based practice.
DNP
Doctor of Nursing Practice
The online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is a practice-focused doctorate for registered nurses who desire a terminal degree with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practioner (AGACNP) clinical focus.
The DNP prepares advance practice nurses to function as experts and leaders in increasingly complex health-care settings. There are two levels of entry for the practice doctorate: post- BSN and post-MSN.
The Eleanor Mann School of Nursing offers both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. By graduation, many students receive several offers. One hundred percent of our graduates find meaningful employment within a year of graduation.

The Eleanor Mann School of Nursing Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program expands and prepares students to become nurse educators. Program objectives focus on the roles of expert clinician, consultant, educator, manager and researcher.
The skills necessary for life-long learning—including self-assessment, goal setting, active learning, and evidence-based practice—are integrated throughout the curriculum. Graduates are prepared to function independently or in a collaborative role on an interdisciplinary team as change agents to affect nursing practice.
The thesis or research project allows students to contribute to new knowledge in nursing through original research, replication studies, dissemination efforts and utilization projects.
The capstone experience, a written comprehensive exam, provides students the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to synthesize knowledge from the core areas and communicate their ideas effectively.
Upon completion of
the MSN Program graduates

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education granted continuation of accreditation for the Master of Science in Nursing degree program effective Sept. 28, 2011, for a term of 10 years, extending to June 30, 2022.
Admission Requirements for the MSN Degree
DNP
The Doctor of Nursing Practice provides a terminal degree for nurses who will assume leadership roles as practitioners or specialists in the field of nursing.
Two entry levels:
1. Post completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing and licensure as a registered nurse (RN), or
2. Post completion of a master’s degree in nursing that has resulted in national certification as an advanced practice nurse (nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, nurse midwife, or nurse anesthetist).
The online program is built upon the standards set forth by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice (2009) and incorporates specialty standards of the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Competencies (2009). As such, students completing the BSN to DNP program of study will be eligible to sit for either the adult/geriatric ACNP certification examination or the family nurse FNP certification exam offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Students in both entry levels must complete a capstone project and 1,035 clinical hours while enrolled in the graduate program. Current advanced practice nurses who enter the program as a post-master’s student must complete clinical hours to supplement clinical hours taken in their master’s program. A variety of distance learning methods will be used to expedite clinical requirements.
However, the student should anticipate up to four visits to the main campus during their program of study.
Upon completion of the
DNP Program
graduates will be able to:
• Evaluate and utilize advanced knowledge and theories from nursing and related disciplines to solve complex health issues for individuals, aggregates, populations and systems.
• Design, implement and evaluate strategies that promote and sustain quality improvement at the organizational and policy levels.
• Provide leadership in the
transformation of health care through interprofessional collaboration, application of technology and policy development.
• Incorporate evidence-based clinical prevention and health services for individuals, aggregates and populations.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise, systems thinking and accountability in designing, delivering and evaluating evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes.
