Running for the Bus

The big fat hairy man, running

Running to catch the bus

Running just running

Hair flying

Big belly wobbling

Like a giant bird taking off

Every bit in motion until

Until lift off

Then all grace and elegance

No longer a big fat hairy man

Running to catch the bus

But a thing of Beauty

Soaring through the air and

Floating on the thermals.

Potatoes are good for us at they contain many nutrients but they are not ideal for

those people wanting to lose weight. The best ways to eat potatoes are baked with

the skin on and no oil or butter added.

Or better still substitute them with Sweet Potatoes as Sweet Potatoes have less

cal-ories so are good if we are trying to lose weight.

They are full of fibre and antioxidants and are rich in beta-carotene

which is good for eye health.

And the best reason of all, they are delicious

Fruit is good for us as it contains

many anti-oxidants and vitamins

as well as being full of fibre.

Which helps us go to the toilet.

But it also has sugar so when we

drink it, for example we are

drinking a lot of sugar and the

fibre (the good part) has been

removed.

Bob and Paul were Huntsmen

Big Hairy Huntsmen,

They lived in a big old blackbutt

Out the back of Bills place

They loved footy and playing jokes

They would watch the games on Bills tv

Dressed in their footy socks and jumpers

From behind the blinds in Bill's house

One of their favorite jokes was tickling Bill’s mustache when he was

asleep

They would roll around in stitches

But their favorite joke of all was taking a drive in the car

Where they would take it in turns

showing their hairy legs

Both sides of the front mirror

What mayhem they caused

If you could see them

Doubled over from laughter while telling

Snorting and slapping legs on legs

On their backs

Their footy clad legs kicking in delight

Oh, what fun they had.

Muffins

Muffins are really easy to make as they only require a

few ingredients and you only need two bowls and a

spoon to mix them and some pretty paper cup cake

cases to bake them in.

However, they have a lot of sugar in them, so just for

treats.

2 cups of self-raising flour

1/2 cup of castor sugar

1/3 cup of vegetable oil

1/2 cup of milk

2 eggs

1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Sift Flour into bowl, add sugar. Combine all wet

ingre-dients in separate bowl.

Place your choice of fruit, chocolate into the dry

in-gredients. Then add your wet inin-gredients. Combine

not stirring too much. Place in paper cups on baking

tray. Makes about 12

Bake in 190 degrees for 20—25 minutes.

Paper Mache

Lets start by making a Paper Mache Pig. Paper Mache is good to start with

because it is relatively cheap, but a bit messy so give yourself plenty of

room.

Step 1

Pour 2 Cups of water into a large mixing bowl

Step 2

Add in a half cup of flour. Mix thoroughly, slowly adding in a few drops of

white glue

Step 3

Blow up a balloon. Use a balloon large enough so it can work as the main

body of your pig.

Step 4

Lay newspaper down on the surface you will work on and place the balloon

on top

Step 5

Cut toilet rolls in half so you have 4 tubes. Tape each securely to the bottom

of your balloon. These are the pigs feet.

Step 6

Bend or cut cardboard into two triangles. Tape these to the

sop of the balloon. These will the pigs ears.

Step 8

Soak newspaper strips one at a time in your paper Mache mixture . Take

each piece and begin to cover the balloon and cardboard. Press down on

each piece so it is smooth and flat. Don’t be afraid to get your hands a

little dirty.

Step 9

Let you project dry for at least 12 hours.

Time to Decorate

Step 1

Paint your pig its base colour. Use pink paint for a traditional pig or you

can get creative wit the colour. Pigs come in all colours

Step 2

Draw a snout and eyes on the pigs face using dark-coloured paint

Step 3

Use a pipe cleaner to poke a hole in the backside of the pig. Bend the

pipe cleaner so it stays in the pig and twist the end so that it is curly.

This is the pigs tail

Step 4

Once the paint is dry you have your pig.
