Introduction

The BES12 Cloud Migration Service is designed to help your organization install and migrate to BES12 Cloud smoothly and seamlessly. The BES12 Cloud Migration Service ensures your organization will have fully deployed and migrated all users from your current EMM or MDM instance to BES12 Cloud. We consult with you before the implementation to help understand your IT environment and goals for

deployment. Following the implementation, your users will be migrated to BES12 Cloud and your staff will receive basic training on how to use the new Administration features. Customers with a BlackBerry Technical Support Services (BTSS) subscription can use their normal channels of support for post-implementation assistance.

This service includes migrations from BES4/5, BES10, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, Exchange Active Sync, Lotus Traveler, MobileIron, Good regardless of the connected mail platform (Domino, Exchange,

GroupWise) or the infrastructure (on premise, cloud solution). Please call about Sybase Afaria, AirWatch or other EMM solutions as agreed to by BlackBerry and the customer.

Service Features

The BES12 Cloud Migration Service includes the following features:

Pre-Implementation Conference Call/ Consult

The BlackBerry Representative will:

 Identify the project guidelines, including goals and objectives, define the environmental changes and begin planning the proposed implementation schedule;

 Develop the preliminary project scope, including integration options, and review the project plan;

 Discuss email platforms

 Determine best practices based on your current configuration and policy requirements, industry standards, and best practices respecting: (a) scalability planning for future growth; and (b) extensibility

The customer is required to:

 Provide information about your current and target environments;  Provide architecture diagrams or other documentation where available;  Complete on onboarding form; and

 Have a Server Administrator attend and participate in the introduction call. Preparation The BlackBerry Representative will work with the customer to:

 Perform environmental planning, including, defining the environmental and software requirements, and ensure the mail store access is verified;

 Define policy requirements and target IT Policy configurations;

 Verify permission and configuration of any service accounts used for the including windows server permissions, database permissions, and required SSL certificates

 Determine whether the BES12 Cloud Connector is needed and will be installed  Determine whether the migration toolkit is needed and will be installed, or if the

migrations will be performed manually by BlackBerry

 Complete the topology and design, including the capacity calculations, defining the user distribution, discuss and agree upon downtime expectations;

 Document acceptance criteria and User Acceptance Testing criteria. The customer is required to:

 Help define target EMM requirements

 Provide scheduling guidance, such as maintenance windows, project targets; and

 Review and accept the project plans prior to the implementation

Implementation Session

The BlackBerry representative will:

Provide a step-by-step walk though of the BES12 Cloud implementation to

the assigned resource

 Confirm (a) the software versions, (b) account permissions, (c) network availability, (d) acceptance (e) license availability (with assistance from customer’s resource);

 Perform the BES12 Cloud configuration and implementation, including applying the custom IT Policies

Complete the User Acceptance Testing, including enterprise activation of 2-5 test users

 Train the administrator by logging in to BES12 Cloud for the first time, explaining the administration roles, and demonstrating how to (a) create administrator accounts, (b) create a group, (c) create an IT policy and apply it to a group, (d) add a new BlackBerry user and generate an activation password, (e) send a lock and wipe command, (f) remove a user from the old environment once the user has been added to BES12 Cloud, (g) add an Android, iOS, and Windows user, (h) leverage rooting and jailbreak

detection, (i) check CAL information, and (j) manage users, policies, and monitoring.

Optional: Install the BlackBerry Cloud Connector which is a lightweight component that sits on-premises behind the corporate firewall and is used to provide

connectivity between on-premises corporate directory and BES12 Cloud. The BES12 Cloud Connector Supports Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP for integration.

The customer is required to:

 Assign a resource to attend the implementation session  Provide access and permissions to the required systems;

 Supply the test devices and users, physically test one of the devices with instructions from BlackBerry;

 Attend the training session following the installation; and

If the customer and BlackBerry have agreed to leverage the BlackBerry Cloud Connector, the customer will provide

read-only access to the

corporate directory, with connectivity through ports 80 and 3101.

Migration The BlackBerry Representative will:  Create a migration plan and schedule;

 Depending on the size of the customer, and as agreed to by the customer, BlackBerry may install a migration toolkit to automate and aid the migration of users (generally used for larger customer) or manually migrate users (generally acceptable for smaller customers). If the migration toolkit is installed, BlackBerry will train the administrator to schedule the migrations themselves, or schedule the migrations for background execution;

 If the migration toolkit is installed, BlackBerry will provide live monitoring and a consolidated status overview of migrations.

The customer is required to:

 Provide timelines and dates for the migration plan and schedule, based on what works best for your users and maintenance schedules;

 Provide specifications and requirements for the user migration, such as group and IT policy mapping; and

 Execute end user communications, such as instructions to Enterprise Activate; and

 Provide logs or other information as required for the monitoring; and  Provide a server administrator who will be trained on the migration toolkit. Maintenance and

Verification

The BlackBerry Representative will:

 Ensure all user migrations were successful;  Complete capacity planning; and

 Discuss outstanding actions. The customer is required to:

 Provide BlackBerry with the information needed to complete the maintenance and verification, including screenshots or other data.

Project Closing Meeting

The BlackBerry Representative will:  Close the project;

 Assess customer satisfaction;  Summarize project results; and  Provide project records. The customer is required to:

 Attend the closing meeting;

 Provide feedback about the project experience; and  Provide customer satisfaction.

Exclusions:

The BES12 Cloud Migration Service will be delivered as defined above. The BES12 Cloud Migration Service does not include, without limitation:

 Any installation or configuration of Third-Party systems, software, or products: BlackBerry will provide best effort guidance and may refer you to documentation for Third-Party systems that connect to BES12 Cloud, but provides no warranties or guarantees for these

recommendations or the documentation.

 Recommendations for the customer’s specific vertical or industry: BlackBerry resources will provide best effort recommendations and may refer you to documentation for security or policy requirements that pertain to a specific industry or vertical, but provides no warrantees or guarantees for these recommendations or the documentation.

 Setting up of user accounts, including but not limited to Apple ID. BlackBerryID, myAccount, etc.: BlackBerry will provide best effort guidance and may refer you to documentation on the account creation processes, but the customer is ultimately responsible for creating the required accounts for BES12 Cloud set up and configuration.
