Cul"va"ng Non-Violence, Harves"ng Peace is a Jus*aith program consis"ng of 8 weekly sessions approximately 2 ½ hours each. During our "me together, we will consider how we can grow personally in nonviolence, and use nonviolence to create a more just and peaceful world. Most importantly, we will spend "me reflec"ng on what our Catholic faith offers as guidance in our efforts to become communi"es of care, compassion, and nonviolence. The Carl W. Schell family wants to thank you for the prayers and support we've received during the many years he suffered with health challenges. We are especially grateful to Father Joe for his presence and pastoring, Maggie Caldarella and Paula Mallin for ministering and visi"ng. Our apprecia"on extends to Dan Keeley, our choir, the musicians, the liturgists, Eucharis"c ministers, and recep"on commi'ee for songs, music, liturgy, and fine food the day of his funeral. Although grieving, we felt we celebrated his life. "...always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus." 1 Corinthians 1:4

Thank you to everyone for bringing me meals since I have been sick. I’ll be back to church as soon as I can get be'er.

Thank you again for your recent par"cipa"on in the Baby Bo'le Campaign benefi"ng Blue Ridge Women’s Center. And thank you for your pa"ence as we had some issues with our coin totaling system. We have that fixed and are happy to report the total dona"on from Our Lady of Nazareth was

Buying fair trade products, like coffee, chocolate and teas, is a way for us, as consumers, to enter into real rela"onships with the producers of these products in Hai" and other developing countries. The next sale will be May 4/5 a<er all Masses. Profits from these sales are used to help our Hai"an twin, Ecole Normale in Papaye, Hai".

The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Monday, May 6th from 1:15-2:30 pm in Room 1. All are wel- come to prayerfully knit or crochet shawls to give to those who are ill or experiencing a sorrow in their life.

The next luncheon will be on Tuesday, May 14th from 11:00-1:00 pm. Shannon Able from the League of Older Americans will discuss Medicare Fraud. Bring a lunch. Desserts and beverages will be served. Please RSVP to Maggie at 774-0066 or parishnurse@oln-parish.com.

The Cra<y Ladies White Elephant Sale will be Friday, May 17th from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm and Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 am un!l 1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. As you begin your spring cleaning,

Ever wondered about the work that hospice volunteers do? Carilion Clinic Hospice’s volunteer training provides informa"on about the many aspects of the dying process and the various ways to assist the dying throughout their endo of life journey. There is no obliga"on to volunteer upon comple"on of the training experience.

Engaged couples please call the parish office before a marriage date is set. A priest or deacon will guide you through the marriage prep process.

PASTORAL CARE

Pastoral Care ministers support our priests in bringing Eucharist to homebound parishioners, those in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Call the Parish Office at 774-0066 if a hos- pitalized or homebound family member or friend would like to re- ceive Eucharist and/or the Sacrament of the Sick.
