MANUAL
WELCOME
TO TELE2 MOBILE
Tele2 mobile is designed for companies that place
value in smart, reasonably priced and flexible
cellular solutions. We continuously develop new
cellular subscriptions and services adapted to
our customers’ special requirements.
Tele2 distinguishes itself from traditional
tele phony operators. We have broken the
mono-poly prevailing in sector after sector within the
European telecom markets.
The secret behind our success is that Tele2
perceives opportunities where others often see
problems. On the other hand, it is no secret that
we have succeeded thanks to innovative ideas
and knowledgeable employees. You can speak
with some of them when you call 0200-23 23 23,
where Tele2 Customer Service can answer your
questions about your subscription, help you to
connect supplementary services, and solve any
difficulties that may arise.

. The PIN code is indicated either in the code envelope or in your copy of the contract. You may make three attempts to enter the correct code. If you don’t succeed, the SIM card will become blocked. Then you will need to unblock the phone with the PUK code (indicated together with the PIN code). Your PIN and PUK codes are all you need to start using your Tele2 mobile subscription. You can store your telephone numbers in both the cellular phone and the SIM card. The advantage of having them saved in the SIM card is that they will follow with you if you transfer the SIM card to another cellular phone.
ADDRESS BOOK
3G technology means better SIM cards that can save a greater number of telephone numbers. With your new 3G SIM card, you can also save infor mation such as first and last names, home, work and cell phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and much more.
– Exactly how you access your address book varies from one cellular phone model to another. But the SIM card contact details are often under the same menu as the contacts you save in the telephone. Refer to your cell phone instruction manual.
– In certain cases, the phone does not make any distinction between the SIM card’s contact list and the address book. This also means that you do not need to look for a special menu for the SIM card.
NOTE: Certain cellular phone models cannot copy from the telephone to the SIM card. Refer to your cell phone instruction manual.
VIDEO CALLS
Most 3G cellular phones enable you to see who you are speaking with in your cell phone display – a function that is no doubt both useful and fun for you. Especially from a professional perspective.
In order for this function to work, both parties must have cell phones that support video telephone calls. You must also have good 3G coverage. (See www.tele2.se for an up-to-date coverage map).
Do you travel a lot? Keep in touch with your colleagues with the help of video calls. If you perhaps work as a craftsman, you can easily present or discuss design and methods directly onsite. Video calls will save you quite a bit of valuable time. Do you need to explain something to some-body located some distance away? Solve the problem using the principle “A picture says a thousand words,” and make a video call.
These are just a few aspects of the tremendous advantages of the service. You will certainly find even more.
Calling with T

– Call the telephone number of the person whom you are calling. (Read your cell phone instruction book for information on how to connect a video call). When the video call has been connected, you will be able to see in the cellular phone’s display the person with whom you are talking, and vice versa.
– Certain cellular phone models enable you to see yourself in a small box simultaneously as you see the person with whom you are talking (see your cellular phone instruction book for further information). – You may switch off the video at any time, and continue the call as
normal. Keep in mind however that you will continue to pay the video call charge, which differs from the normal call charge.
– You pay for each minute that the call is connected between the two parties.

INTERNATIONAL CALLS
Do you often travel to distant places with your cell phone? With Tele2 mobile you can make and receive calls virtually anywhere in the world. Tele2 mobile has coverage in an extensive number of countries, and we are continually expanding.

.Who pays for the call when you phone in another country? When you make a call from your cell phone in another cellular operator’s network, you pay the cellular provider’s rates plus an administrative charge. The calls will be debited to your normal monthly bill from Tele2 mobile. Swedish VAT will be applied to all calls. Calls made to Customer Service from abroad are not free of charge.
If somebody calls you when you are abroad, you will charged for the “international part” of the call, In other words from Sweden to the country where you are located. The person making the call will be charged as if you were located in Sweden.
If you have forwarded your cellular phonecalls to another telephone, a special charge will be made when abroad. Calls will first be directed to the country where you are located, and then connected to the tele-phone you have forwarded the calls to. Therefore you will be paying for the international part of the call, plus the forwarded part. If you instead select to forward “All Calls” to Voicemail, you will be able to avoid these charges. Further information is available in the “Voicemail” section.
Voicemail when abroad
Call Divert to the Voicemail system can be made both in Sweden and abroad. It is important to bear in mind however that if you forward your calls to Voicemail and then travel abroad, you will risk, in certain cases, paying a double international charge. This is due to you paying the cost from Sweden to the country where you are located, and then back to the Voicemail in Sweden. Depending on which forwarding alternative you have selected (No Answer, Out of reach, Busy) the double interna-tional charge could arise. In order to avoid risking this charge, use either of the following two alternatives:
1. Forward All Calls to Voicemail.

.Your calls will be connected directly to your Voicemail in Sweden, and will not go via the country where you are located. You will therefore not pay any charge for the forwarding (exactly as if you were in Sweden). If somebody leaves a message on your Voicemail, you will receive as usual a SMS text message that somebody has left a message. (Exceptions do however exist where certain foreign operators have blocked incoming SMS messages).
In such cases, you can listen to your Voicemail as you ordinarily do. You will however pay an international charge for the calls from the country where you are located to the Voicemail system in Sweden.
2. Disconnect the Call Divert to Voicemail.
You will need to contact Customer Service in order to remove your pre-set forwarding to Voicemail.
Your calls will then no longer be forwarded to Voicemail. If the cell phone is switched off or has insufficient coverage, the person calling you will receive a message “The subscriber cannot be reached at the present time, please try again later,” or a similar message from the foreign opera-tor. If you answer, you will be debited the charge for the call from Sweden to the country where you are located.

Cellular phone telephone networks can be selected in two ways – auto matically and manually.
Automatically
Most cellular phones automatically search the respective country’s cell phone network. You can also register in advance the cellphone networks you would like to use.
When you come to the selected network’s coverage area, you will be automatically connected to the network, in the same way as you are connected to the Tele2 mobile network in Sweden. Further information about inter national charges via SMS is available in the “International Charges via SMS” section on page 35.
Manually
This means that you yourself select the network. For further information, refer to your cell phone instruction manual.
If you have a 3G cell phone, it will automatically search for a 3G network, or if not available, then a GSM network.

SMS
SMS means the sending and receiving of text messages of up to 160 characters that can be read in the recipient’s cellular phone display. Some cellular phones are able to send longer messages with multiple compound SMSs connected; refer to your cell phone instruction manual. SMS services are included in all Tele2 cellular phone subscriptions. There are several different ways of sending a SMS message. There is no charge for receiving SMS messages.
Sending a SMS from a cellular telephone
You can send SMS directly from your cell phone to other cellular sub-scribers. The person receiving the message will be able to see the tele-phone number of the sender, even if you have the supplementary “Blocked Number” service.
You can receive an acknowledgement in the cell phone’s display that the message has reached its destination if you write KV
F
at the beginning of the text message. When you receive your SIM card, the number to Tele2 mobile’s message centre (+46 70 799 00 01) has already been stored. This number is requi-red to be able to send SMS. Refer to your cellular telephone’s instruction manual to see how a message is sent.
MMS
In an MMS message, you can send and receive text, sound and pictures. Many cellular phones also enable you to send or view short video clips. If you have a lot to talk about and present, then it would be best to send an MMS. An MMS can contain significantly more characters than a normal SMS. If you would prefer to send pictures, you can either take your own with the cell phone’s camera (if it is equipped with one) or download pictures from Tele2Comviq’s WAP portal or Tele2’s mobile portal. The same naturally applies to sound – record your own with the cell phone’s microphone or download them.
You can send an MMS in several different ways. Irrespective of how the message is sent, the person receiving the message does not pay to receive it.
– You can send messages directly from your cell phone to other Swedish 3G and GSM subscribers who have an MMS cell phone. Bear I mind that the person receiving the message can see the telephone number of the sender, even if you have the supplementary “Blocked Number” service.
– You can set your cell phone so that you always receive an acknowled-gement that your message has reached its destination. Refer to your cellular telephone instruction manual.
– To be able to send MMS, you must set your cell phone correctly. Instructions are available at www.tele2.se.
– As soon as you have received your SIM card and switched on your cell phone, you will receive the required settings via SMS. Ensure that you approve the installation of these settings in your cell phone. If you do not do this for any reason, you can order the settings from www.tele2. se. If on the other hand you have purchased a pre-set mobile phone at one of our dealers, everything will be ready from the beginning and you will be able to start sending MMS immediately.
MOBILE DATA SOLUTIONS
A huge volume of data is sent every day through our cellular telephones, consisting of SMS, MMS and e-mail messages, as well as data including for games. And with the latest technology, we are able to see the person we are talking to on the cell phone.
Just as we can choose to connect to the Internet via modem or broad-band, we can also send data with our mobiles in different ways, such as GSM, GPRS or 3G. The big difference between these three, in a nutshell, is the transmission speed. GSM doesn’t go so fast . GPRS significantly increases the speed. But if you want to have a true and total mobile highway, then choose 3G.
Services included
functions significantly faster. A common aspect of these services (GPRS in the GSM network and mobile data in the 3G network) is that you do not need to think about money ticking away at the same speed as the minutes. Time means nothing . In other words, you can be constantly connected without it costing any money, because you only pay for the volume of data that you send and receive.
Consult your dealer regarding the cellular phones that would be most appropriate for mobile data communication. You can also visit our web-site at www.tele2.se or call our Customer Service at 0200-22 40 50 to obtain advice as to how you can simply and quickly get started.
WAP – MOBILE SURFING
WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) opens up a completely new world of mobile services – directly in your cell phone. Use WAP for pleasure or to utilize your time more effectively. We have assembled at Tele2Comviq’s WAP portal the items that you can use at any location and at any time, and here you can also read financial news, see the latest weather fore-cast, read your e-mail. If you have a 3G cellular phone, using WAP will go faster than before.
How to get started with WAP:
Ensure that you have a cellular phone that supports GPRS or 3G. If you have purchased a pre-set cell phone, the settings have already been made and you can start to use WAP immediately. Otherwise, go in to www.tele2.se and order the required settings, which will be sent to you as a SMS message. All you then need to do is to accept them.
It’s not only in front of your computer where you can your read e-mail. You can also read, receive and send e-mail via your cell phone. Connecting your existing e-mail address to your cell phone: – Select “Existing” if you already have a private e-mail address via the
Internet (for example Swipnet, Yahoo, Everyday, Gmail) and would like to access it via your cell phone. You will need to know the user name and password of your existing e-mail account.
– Specify your e-mail provider from the list.
– Fill in your personal details. In certain cases you will have to fill in the name of the mail server. If you aren’t sure of it, contact your e-mail provider for the name. When you press the “Approve” button, the e-mail address will be tested to see if your details are correct. If the answer is no, check to see if you have filled everything in correctly. Reading e-mail with your cell phone:
Firstly, connect to wap.tele.se. Go into My Pages and select the e-mail link. You will now be able to read your e-mail messages.
The first time you connect to Tele2Comviq’s WAP portal with the cell phone, you will be asked if you would like to have an e-mail address connected to your cell phone.
If you do NOT want to connect an e-mail address to the cell phone. Just continue. You can do it later via My Pages.
If you would like to connect an e-mail address to the cell phone. You can choose between connecting an existing e-mail address to your cell phone, or registering a new e-mail address and connecting it to your cell phone.
Registering a new e-mail address and connecting it to your cell phone:
– Select the link called “New” and continue to create a new e-mail address. You will then be offered your own @tele2.se address. – Indicate the name you want to have as your e-mail address. If it has
already been taken, similar alternatives will be suggested.
– After you have chosen an available e-mail address, you may start to use the new address.
Services included
THE CELL PHONE AS A MODEM
With the cell phone as a modem, you obtain rapid and simple access to the Internet, no matter where you may be located. Provided you have sufficient coverage for a normal cellular call, you may use your cell phone as a modem when you need to connect your laptop computer – implying no more searching for a telephone jack or bothering with modem cables. If you furthermore have a 3G telephone and 3G coverage, your cell phone can be transformed into a real high-speed modem. Exactly how you use your cell phone as a modem depends on your cell phone model. Most cell phone manufacturers include a special installation guide on a CD, which helps you get started.
NOTE: Functions only with GPRS or 3G telephones.
Further information is available from Customer Service at 0200-22 40 50 or via our website at www.tele2.se where you will find the required soft-ware and settings.

FAX
(Only for GSM telephones)Enables you to both send and receive faxes. Incoming faxes must be sent to the special fax number that you receive when subscribing to the service. The cell phone must support GSM Data and be able to be connected to a PC or handheld computer via IR or a cable. Your PC or handheld computer must have fax software installed.
Proceed as follows:
In order to receive faxes in your cellular phone, you will be given a special fax number, which is used when a fax is sent to you. How you send a fax depends on your fax software. It is important that the person who is faxing you has your fax number, because the fax will not be received if your cellular phone number is used. If you would like to receive faxes when your phone is switched off, you can choose to have the Fax Mailbox supplementary service.
FAX MAILBOX
Fax Mailbox enables you to receive and retrieve faxes no matter where you may be located. Faxes sent to you are stored in your Fax Mailbox, and you can print them out via any fax terminal. You may choose whether all fax messages are to be sent to your home fax number or to a fax number of your choice.
Activating the Fax Mailbox
Call Tele2 Customer Service and order a Fax Mailbox. You will be given a fax mailbox number that is linked to Voicemail. Anyone can send a fax to this telephone number no matter where you may be located. When a new fax is received, you will receive a SMS message on your cell phone. Then you can choose where you would like to have the fax printed out. Fax Mailbox and Voicemail
To simplify things for you, we have linked Voicemail and Fax Mailbox together. This means that you have the same password for both services, and that you navigate the Fax Mailbox from the Voicemail menu. Faxes that have been retrieved are automatically deleted after 48 hours. Faxes that have not yet been retrieved are saved for two weeks.

BLOCKED NUMBER
This is a supplementary service that enables you to call entirely anonymously. With a Blocked Number, no special buttons are needed to conceal your telephone number in the caller ID display of the person receiving your call. This service does not however function when you send SMS or MMS.
TWIN CARDS
Cannot be combined with Corporate CardTwo SIM cards with one telephone number. You can use two cellular phones without needing to move the SIM card. For example, when you move from a mobile phone installed in your car to another cellular phone or a handheld computer.
Incoming calls arrive first at your main number (principal card) and are then forwarded to your second cellular (additional card) if you do not answer. After that, a call will be forwarded to your Voicemail. SMS are not forwarded.
You can call Voicemail from both cards, but all SMS notifications from Voicemail will always come to your main number.
Your additional card has an administrative telephone number, which is only used in administrative contexts such as when you receive your invoice. With outgoing calls from the additional card, no telephone number will be shown in the Caller ID.
Twin Cards can be used abroad. Note however that if you use Voicemail abroad, Twin Cards could imply up to four times the normal call charge. To avoid this occurring, we recommend that you do not have both cellular phones switched on simultaneously when you are abroad.
If you add your own Call Divert, these will be prioritised over the origina l Call Divert. To retrieve the original Call Divert, press

. A data volume package must be subscribed to for each respective card.CALL TRANSFER
(Only for 2G)You can transfer calls made to your cell phone on to a colleague, just as you do from your landline telephone. It is both easy and provides better service for your customers. You can also call two people and speak to them individually, and then connect them with each other.
Proceed as follows:
1. You receive a call to your cell phone. After a moment or two, you realise that the person calling should instead speak to your colleague. 2. You park the call, and then call your colleague and describe the
situation.
3. Finally, connect your colleague with the person who called by pressing
S/=FL
. You will be disconnected as soon as the two parties have been connected.About Call Transfer
– The company must have the Switching Between Calls service activated (included in your cellular subscription).
– The service is national, which means that it does not function when you are abroad.
– If the company has the Customised Restriction service, a verification will be made to see if it is authorised to connect the calls prior to the call being transfered.
– You pay for the entire period of the call for those that you transfer yourself.
– NOTE: The Transferring service cannot be combined with the Private Number Plan service.

The emergency number 112 will function even if the cellular number is blocked.
VOICEMAIL WITH SWITCHBOARD
CONNECTION
This service is for when a person calling your cell phone is to be con-nected to the switchboard when you do not answer. The person calling you can also of course leave a message in the Voicemail system. Your company chooses an answering location, such as the switchboard, which is then applicable for all of the company’s cellular phones.
How to use the switchboard connection
If you choose Voicemail with switchboard connection, the person calling your cell phone (and you cannot answer) will hear your recorded greeting. A short message will then follow saying that the caller can be connected to the company’s switchboard by pressing 0, or alternatively leave a message after the beep.

CUSTOMISED RESTRICTION SERVICES*
These services enable full control of the company’s mobile telephony costs in a simple and flexible way. Each cellular subscription can have its own restriction profile (such as certain numbers, during certain time periods, or outside certain areas) that can be easily changed when required. NOTE: To be able to customise restriction services, the company must have the Private Number Plan service. See the Private Number Plan section for further details.Restriction profiles
One can customise several different restriction profiles within the company.
Restriction categories
There are five different restriction categories that can be combined to create a restriction profile.
1. Blocking of calls outside one’s own number plan
– The subscriber can only make calls within the Private Number Plan. – The number plan normally contains the company’s cellular numbers
and landline office extensions.
– Calls are treated irrespective of whether the subscriber chooses to use a Fast Dial number or a complete telephone number. – Restrictions require the company to have the Private Number Plan
service (see page 46).
– The subscriber can be enabled to call another Private Number Plan than his own (one must use the complete telephone number for all calls outside one’s own Private Number Plan).
2. Blocking of calls to certain external subscribers
– A black list contains phone numbers and number series that the subscriber may not call (such as toll numbers or international calls) and a white list of the phone numbers and number series that the

– There is considerable potential for the customer to adapt how many phone numbers and number series may be given in a black or white list for each restriction profile.
– All phone numbers within the Private Number Plan are allowed. For example, if an international number is included in the Private Number Plan, the subscriber may call it even if the cellular number is otherwise blocked for international calls.
3. Blocking calls on certain days of the week
The subscriber can only call on specified days. There are two alter-natives that may also be combined:
– Weekdays
– Saturdays and Sundays
For example, an employee may call Monday to Friday, or Monday to Friday and Saturday/Sunday.
4. Blocking calls during certain periods of the day
– The subscriber may only call within specified periods of time. – It is possible to specify up to four periods during the day. – For example, an employee may be allowed to call during office hours 08:00–12:00 and 13:00–16:30.
– Each period of time can be specified as per the customer’s requirements.
5. Blocking calls within certain geographical areas
– The subscriber may only call within a certain geographical area. – Within a VPN group, one can specify several different areas, known as cell groups.
– Each restriction profile contains a list of areas that the subscriber may call from (white list), or a list of areas from where it is not permitted to call (black list).
– If the subscriber leaves the permitted area while a call is in progress, the call will not be disconnected and will be terminated in a normal way.
What happens if the subscriber tries to make a call that is restricted?
A person who tries to make a restricted call will receive a voice message saying that the subscription is restricted. The message will be played in Swedish.
Numbers that can always be called
There are three numbers that a subscriber is always able to call, even if the telephone is restricted for certain calls:

PRIVATE NUMBER PLAN*
Your company can integrate landline and mobile telephony by employees using the same extensions from the cellular phones as from the landline office telephone. This is simple, works well, and can save money. Setting up a Private Number Plan
Together with Tele2, your company can decide the design of the number plan for cellular telephones. The extensions can be between two and ten digits. The number plan is ordinarily designed so that it is identical with the extensions of the landline office telephones. When calling from one cell phone to another, one dials a unique prefix before the extension. What does a Private Number Plan contain?
– Extensions to all of the company’s cell phones with a Tele2 subscription. – Extensions to all of the company’s landline office telephones with
switchboard connection.
– A number of external landline numbers as per special agreement. Bear in mind…
– It is not possible to use the Private Number Plan when calling from abroad.
– If the cell phone automatically adds the country code (+46), this setting must be changed before you can call with to extensions. – When a member of the Private Number Plan makes a call, the
complete cellular telephone number will be shown, and not the internal extension to the cell phone.
– One cannot send SMS messages to an extension. The complete cellular phone number must be used.
– One cannot use 1–9 as extensions as they are defined as Fast Dialing numbers in the cell phone or on the SIM card.
– Certain cellular phones cannot handle two-digit extensions. Can be combined with Voicemail with switchboard connection and with Customised Restriction Services.
