How to pay for college
Financial aid can help you meet the difference between the cost of college and your (or your family’s) ability to pay. There are four types of financial aid:
• Scholarships (don’t have to repay): UW-WC awards 100+ scholarships totaling over $150,000.
• Loans (must be repaid): Fewer than half of UW-WC students take out student loans. • Work-study jobs on campus
• Grants
To qualify for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to write in the UW Colleges code #003897.
You may apply for financial aid anytime after
January 1 of the year you plan to attend. You must
submit all forms by April 1 to receive funding priority. More than half of UW-WC students receive some type of financial aid and nearly all are eligible for enough aid to cover annual tuition costs. For more information, visit washington.uwc.edu or call
262-335-5201.
The two-year Associate of Arts and Science (AAS) degree fulfills the UW’s system-wide general education requirements for freshmen and sophomores and is the foundation for more than 200 majors.
• No need to choose a major right away; discover the career that’s right for you.
• Learn the advanced skills in communications, critical thinking and working in teams that employers demand. • Get a head start on your bachelor’s degree or career by earning
an AAS degree with an emphasis in a specific discipline like business, computer science, engineering, environmental science, health science, history, music, pre-nursing, psychology, women’s studies and more.
