We LOVE our volunteers! We cannot thank them enough for all they have done for our Center & the community.

We rely on hundreds of volunteers to help with delivering meals, greeting visitors and answering phones, leading activi- ties, organizing the resale boutique, building and grounds maintenance, serving on Center committees and much more.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Center, please contact Sara Berkbigler, Executive Director:

sara@mainstcc.org or 618.656.0300.

Contributions to the Center from the City, the Village and the Township support essential services of nutrition and transportation. We also receive funding from the City to support our day trip program. Eden Church, our landlord, leases the property to the Center for $1/year. We must maintain the building and grounds and provide insurance reimbursement, but the low rent is a great support to our operations.

We want to help our home-delivered meal clients feel special, so we have local restaurants and caterers who rotate to provide a special Restaurant Thursday meal every quarter. In addition, we deliver a special birthday treat to them on their special day and they receive fresh produce twice a month. We are grateful to all of them:

Big Daddy’s Chicken Salad Chick Clean Eatz Creations by Kiki

Culver’s Dierberg’s GC Cuisine Joe’s Market Basket

McAlister’s Deli Mother’s Catering Olive Oils & More So’ Pasta

If you have a restaurant that is interested in becoming a Restaurant Thursday partner, please contact Jennifer Jackstadt, Nutrition Coordinator: jennifer@mainstcc.org or 618.656.0300.

Thank you to Tim Root, Owner of Premier Audio Visual for providing the Center with a security system. We are grateful for the state-of-the-art cameras and equipment to help keep our Center safe.

volunteers. With a mission to help keep people healthy, engaged and independent, this program helps address the natural feelings of isolation one feels when living alone.

Every month a local volunteer group will be providing special cards and small, thoughtful gifts that will be delivered to our clients at home. In addition, volunteers will be periodically calling the clients from the Center phone to chat and see if they have any needs or interests with which the Center can assist.

Thank you to Junior Service Club of Edwardsville-Glen Carbon, Red Hill Church, and Gail’s scrapbookers for volunteering to help. If you are a member of a group, organization or business that would like to vol- unteer one month in 2022, please contact Sara Berkbigler: 618.656.0300 or sara@mainstcc.org.
