Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to Budapest, Hungary's largest cancer center at the National Institute of Oncology. Thank you for joining us for the IX. Breast and Face Plastic Surgery Symposia. 2012 is a milestone in the history of the National Institute of Oncology, a new building with six operating rooms for various surgical disciplines has recently been opened. We would like to celebrate the new extension of surgical activity with our guests, and invite you to share in our enthusiasm for the development of future scientific and clinical programs.

For this year's meeting we offer you a stimulating and exciting educational program. We have endeavored to bring together the most challenging reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery procedures of the face and breast in the format of scientific papers, video sessions and round table discussions. We hope you will find the scientific program to be thoughtprovoking. The Hungarian and international faculty offering the latest and newest developments in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery options. We have invited Peter Cordeiro from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Steve Kronowitz from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and Zdenko Stanec from the University Hospital Dubrava in Zagreb to give their overview and personal insight on the coordinated care of breast cancer treatment. Martin del Yerro from Madrid will present his new method for the measurement and selection of anatomical breast implants based on determining the anthropometric characteristics of the chest. Stephano Pompei from Rome will give insight into polyurethane covered implants based on his own extensive research and vast experience on the topic. The program also focuses on new trends, present and future developments as well as clinical application of fat transfer.

On behalf of the organizers I would like to extend our invitation to your family, professional team and friends to enjoy the program and the warm hospitality of Budapest. We all wish you a pleasant and memorable time in Hungary.

Warmest regards, Dr. Gusztáv Gulyás Scientific coordinator
