22nd Legnica International Jewellery Competition REVOLt

The competition is the most important element of the Festival.It has an open character. The artists hare to provide work on a given topic - a different one each year. Works should display original creativity and represent a high artistic standard. The international jury was composed of: Galit Gaon (Israel), Jiro Kamata (Japan / Germany), Hans Stofer (Switzerland / United Kingdom), Aneta Lis-Marcinkiewicz and Sławomir Fijałkowski (Poland). This year, 625 submissions were received from 319 artists of 43 countries, mainly from Europe, but also from Argentina, Australia, Israel, Japan, Korea and the USA.

A reccuring presentation of distinguished personalities among the Polish and international goldsmiths.

agnieszka Bruzda i Jan B. Suchodolski

This project, with a square brooch as its main theme, is carried out by two artists. Agnieszka Bruzda graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She has been making jewellery since 1992. Participated in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Jan Suchodolski studied landscape architecture at the Agricultural Academy in Warsaw. He has been pursuing jewellery design since 1986. LIS²

No decoration

LIS² is a design group created in 2007 by Aneta Lis-Marcinkiewicz and Adriana Lisowska – graduates of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. The group has initiated a lot of artistic events that aim at creating a platform for dialogue between the viewer and the modern art. LIS² is also about functional and experimental jewellery, wherein the expression of ideas is equally important as a well-designed form.

10Years MIJNLuxus HEAD WORKS with BODY&SOUL

Having graduated from the Trier University of Applied Sciences , Departament in Idar-Oberstain (Germany), with the specialization in gemstones and jewellery design (under prof. Theo Smeets), he now lives and works in the Netherlands. He exhibited in the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and the UK, and participated in many symposia and jewellery workshops.

Beauty is most important

A retrospective exhibition of the well known Dutch artist, a graduate from Rietveld Academi in Amsterdam (under prof. Francesco Pavan), a lecturer at many Universities. His works have been exhibited all over the Europe, as well as in USA and Japan, and are included in the collections of many museums and galleries.

Prince Charming and ThePalace of Happiness

International project, bringing together imagination and personal experiences of three women-artists: Tabea Reulecke (Germany), Maarja Niinemägi (Estonia) and Teresa Lane (Australia). The exhibition explores contemporary Eros and romantic love through mythology, pop culture and natural instincts.

Velvet Dreams

Exhibition of two German goldsmith artists - Ingrid Römmich and Veronika Schmidt, winners of the prize of The Gallery of Art in Legnica in the 21st Legnica International Jewellery Competition RITUAL, 2012. The group has been working together since 2010. They create exquisite jewellery, an unorthodox combination of the past and present. The inspiration for the artists is connecting opposites - like opulence and modesty, modern minimalism and decadence - to establish brand new standards. SChMUCK 2013

Prestigious, the Germany’s most important and the Europe’s oldest, survey of contemporary jewellery, organised by the Chamber of Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria and founded by the Danner’s Foundation. For this year’s exhibition, 700 entries from 35 countries were submitted. The exhibits were chosen by the Swiss goldsmith Bernhard Schobinger.
