Served as a member of the research team that evaluated the pilot implementation of the Short-Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability: Adolescent Version (START-AV), which is a structured professional judgment guide, in three secure juvenile correctional facilities in the southern US. Assessed follow-up assessments to determine change on dynamic factors/risk estimates, and coded intervention and management plans for juveniles to examine treatment match between START-AV assessments and individualized service plans.

Conducted PCL-R interviews and psychophysiological assessments of adult offenders. The psychophysiological assessments entailed placement of an EEG electrode cap on the participant’s head, various EMG electrodes on the face, and EKG/SCR electrodes on the hand and arm to measure brain activity, heart rate, skin conductance, and facial muscular movement while the participant completed various computer-based tasks. 2008-2010 Instructor & Teaching Assistant, Department of Criminology, University of South

Participated in research-based projects, such as Gang-Out Program evaluation for wayward youth, Civil Citation Equal Justice Evaluation Report, and collection of national data trends regarding gender differences among serious preadolescent and adolescent offenders.
