Proven implementation ability

Nedbank’s implementation teams ensure a quick and problem-free transition of the banking business, including the training of relevant employees. Their skills have been proven, with large-scale implementation projects across all spheres of the public sector completed efficiently and ahead of time. Nedbank has vast experience in integrating into the line-of-business systems of corporates, state-owned enterprises and other institutions. The professionalism and understanding of tasks shown in our recent implementation projects have earned accolades from public sector clients, who span:

• national, provincial and local government; • schools and universities;

• state-owned enterprises; and • other specialist organisations.

Innovative transactional banking solutions

Our public sector transactional banking services are tailored to the needs of public sector entities, particularly in the management of receipt and payment flows, and are provided alongside appropriate electronic delivery platforms to streamline processes. Apart from current account and card solutions, we also offer cash-handling and electronic banking solutions.

Cash-handling solutions

One of the challenges faced by the public sector is the handling of cash. Nedbank has developed a highly secure cash-handling solution. Our CashVault® cash acceptance device counts and authenticates banknotes before depositing them into a secure container, on your premises. Your account will be credited electronically with the value of the cash as soon as the validation of the deposit has been completed at the cash centre. The cash-in-transit (CIT) carrier is also the processor of the banknotes, thereby making same-day* value possible, and reducing the number of handoffs and the associated risks.

* Same-day processing subject to CIT vendor contracted.

Understanding your needs

At Nedbank we recognise that the public sector requires financial

solutions that enable the broader mandate of service delivery.

Acknowledging the unique challenges faced by various tiers of

government and their agencies, Nedbank has established dedicated

public sector teams with a reach across South Africa. Driven by a

firm belief in the value of strong partnerships for business growth,

effective community development and environmental conservation,

the public sector teams do not draw only on innovative Nedbank

products and solutions to help build a greater nation, but also ensure

professional implementation to make sure your experience with us

is seamless and hassle-free.
