evaluation tools meet the required objectives. Facilitates the development of procedures to insure safety in in-situ simulation activities. Consistently researches and provides the most up to date information to educators using simulation methodology to insure successful outcomes of teaching/learning activities. Engages in continued support to educators in both academia and practice.

management and the purchase and maintenance of the required equipment. Insured learning activities support the organization’s strategic plan. Worked with both internal hospital based and external academic based educators to provide and support teaching and learning using simulation methodology. Facilitated the development of case scenarios including outcome evaluation tools. Continuously reviewed curriculum to insure the activities met the

Provided educational sessions in Central Nursing Orientation Programs for all levels of nursing and support staff, in collaboration with members of Nursing Education and

Professional Development Department. Continuously assessed the orientation programs to insure the curriculum meets changing competency requirements. Worked with unit-based educators to incorporate the Professional Practice Model as a framework for orientation activities. Facilitated and coordinated the Preceptor Role Foundation Program. Provided lecture discussion for the Charge Nurse Program, Internship program, Shift and Clinical Program. Provided advance learning through simulated case scenarios for the acute and critical care internship and fellowship programs. Supported the revision of nursing

documentation instruments to insure congruence with patient care standards. Through grant funding, established a Clinical Simulation Learning Center in collaboration with department director. Implemented solutions related to unit practice issues, which resulted in successful JACHO and DCRA surveys. Facilitated interdisciplinary involvement through on-going communication with Surgical and Cardiology Medical Directors. Provided for
