Surgery Department at Bristol Hospital, an affiliate of the Yale New Haven Cancer Network located in Bristol, CT is seeking to recruit physician assistants. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Job Description:

• Ability to perform physical examinations according to prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician

• Carry an independent office schedule with MD on premises for support as needed. Includes new patients

and new problems

• Responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests including XRAYS, MRI’s, etc. • Documents patient care via Electronic Medical Records

• Communicates effectively with care team to ensure coordinated care including clearance for pre-op patients and discharge planning

• Takes an active role in patient education.

• Providing injections and aspirations, and performing other procedures including EMG/NCV testing

• Contributes to team healthcare approach through quality, detailed work, and effective documentation as well as oral communication

• Maintains patient confidentially following HIPAA regulations • Other duties as assigned


• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or University PA Program • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in NY State

• One to two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care setting preferred
