Travel Grants
For travel with an intellectually
constructive purpose & also enjoyable and refreshing. Should not involve charity work or be for the purpose of pursuing one’s academic course.
The Committee has up to £3,000 to split between successful applicants each year.

Account of travel project, estimate of total cost and an indication of the degree of assistance required, to College Office. An indication of how proposed travel fits in with other activities, and what
difference an award would make, should be included. Early in Hilary Term End of 6th week of Hilary Term Senior Hulme Scholarships Up to 10 scholarships per year to DPhil students whose academic performance is deemed to be exceptional.

Hulme Completion Grants Depends on funds available, number of successful applications, amount of extra time required, and other funding sources available. Typically around 5-7 awards of up to £1,000. To support the maintenance of DPhil students who need to extend their research beyond the final year of their degree course.
DPhil students with confirmed status who will be out of fee liability for Michaelmas Term; and who expect to complete their thesis before the beginning of next Hilary Term
