THE WATERWAYS CONCESSIONAIRE CONFIRMED THAT DREDGING/MAINTENANCE JOBS AT EMILIO MITRE CHANNEL STARTED LAST DECEMBER AND WILL LIKELY BE FINALIZED SOMETIME IN

MARCH 2014.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS (INBOUND/OUTBOUND) IS COORDINATED BY THE RIVER PLATE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEPT ('CONTRASE'). MOST OF THE VSLS WILL, DURING THE ABOVE STATED PERIOD, NAVIGATE USING THE 'MARTIN GARCIA CHANNEL', UNLESS DRAWING MORE THAN 32 FEET FW. THOSE WHICH ARE FORCED TO USE THE 'EMILIO MITRE CHANNEL ARE DOING SO IN CONVOYS, BUT RESTRICTED TO TRANSITING THIS CHANNEL/DREDGING AREA TWO HOURS BEFORE THE HIGH TIDE, UNTIL SUCH TIME THE LAST VSL BELONGING TO THE CONVOY HAS EXITED

THE AREA.
