The Company
GAM Consulting was founded in Cassino (Italy) in 2001 for providing consultancy and services in the field of quality management, to companies operating in the automotive industry.
The professional approach, based on expertise and reliability, allowed us to stand out in a highly competitive field, getting, in 2007, FIAT Group accreditation as provider for Quality Control services (CSL1 / CSL2) and Quality System enhancement (CSL3) of suppliers. In 2009 we extended our activities to the Rolling Stock industry, becoming approved service providers for AnsaldoBreda.
In the first 15 years we have constantly maintained a positive growth trend, reaching an headcount of about 400 employees operating in Italy, Serbia and Germany; GAM Consulting is currently in the process of establishing new operative centres in Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Turkey and Spain.

Gam Consulting offers product sorting/checking activity, carried out by qualified personnel able to make visual and instrumental inspections.
We can provide non destructive tests, to evaluate the structural characteristics of materials without altering their physical state or geometry.
Among our instrumentation we have the portable anthropomor-phic arm FARO CAM2, by which we can implement quick and accurate dimensional measurements, even at Customer’s site. When anomalies are detected, our staff can promptly perform reworking actions in agreement with the Customers’ quality managers. Every task is logged into a daily report, including quantities of NOT-OK, reworked and rejected parts.
GAM Consulting is present in the most important European automotive districts, offering its specialists’ expertise both at the carmakers their suppliers sites.
Our residents are in a close and continuous contact with the production team leaders in order to promptly capture possible anomalies and immediately react carrying out the related containment actions, so minimizing the impact on Quality Perfor-mance Indicators.
Each defect is configured and analysed, using problem solving techniques by which we identify root cause and define the proper corrective actions whose effectiveness is constantly monitored by us.
RESIDENT ACTIVITY
The Controlled Shipping Level 1 procedure is a control process imposed by the car maker to its supplier, which shall implement it in order to prevent the shipment of Non Conforming goods from the production plant.
This kind of control can be contracted to a third party, such as GAM, which allows to perform the operations in a quick, effective and documented way, without moving the workforce from production to quality inspections.

GAM Consulting offers a vehicle repair service, both in production plants and on commercial car lots, made by teams of technicians able to operate within 24 hours throughout Europe.
RECONDITIONINGS/RETROFIT ON
THE CAR LOT
We have established an assistance network offered to carmakers and their suppliers, in order to support them with the on-vehicle diagnosis and consequent repair operation of components and specific systems for units in service.
Within 12/24 hours from the call, our Flying Doctors reach the authorized workshops where they make the first level analysis, using professional equipment; they determine the need for replacement and rapidly implement the most proper intervention.
FLYING DOCTOR
Reinforced control plans, carried out on the process or on the finished product at the starting phase of new production or to contain specific quality issues. GAM, besides offering the possibility to perform such controls as described for CSL2, is able to provide the necessary support for their definition and preparation.

The Controlled Shipping Level 2 procedure is a control process imposed by the car maker to its supplier in order to stop shipment of Non Confor-ming parts from the manufacturing plant. CSL2 has to be performed by a third party firm.
Thanks to expertise and professional skills of its staff, GAM Consulting is an accredited third party certifier for FCA and CNH Industrial, full meeting the requirements established by them.
GAM is able to provide qualified services for the rolling stock industry in order to carry out checks on finished or semi-finished products and on the production process.
Our technicians also intervene to validate the results of mechanical tests and non destructive tests, to certify welds quality, to make checks on the validation of complete axles and wheels for homologation purposes.
Since 2009, GAM is an accredited service provider for AnsaldoBreda for the execution of SET activi-ties (Sorveglianza Ente Terzo – Third Party Surveillance).
PRODUCT CERTIFICATION AT SUPPLIER SITE
Gam Consulting performs activities of test supervising and final acceptance of the rolling stock, providing direct assistance to the customer in the quick resolution of any non-conformity, both inside the plant and at the commissioning site.
The visual and instrumental checks are carried out on all internal and external components, such as seats, doors, braking systems, HVAC, etc.

GAM Consulting is able to perform activity of qualification and surveillance of suppliers, in order to identify any critical area and support the definition of adequate
countermeasures.
Experienced staff, by performing process and system audits
according to either Automotive Industry Standards (ISO-TS 16949) or Railway Industry Standard (IRIS), identifies the priorities of intervention and defines the appropriate correcti-ve action plans, which are continuously monitored through regular visits at suppliers plants in order verify the proper implementation and validate the achievement of the expected improvements.

MANAGEMENT
GAM Consulting can provide professionals, with long experience in the automotive and rolling stock fields, to deal with complex projects management. In particular, our Project Managers can support the platform team from concept phase to manufacturing start-up, supporting each stage both with the definition of action plans and with the related monitoring activity, even at the involved suppliers sites, according to APQP logic.
NEW PRODUCTS DEVELOPMENT
We provide assistance to companies willing to adopt advanced methods of organization and management of their manufacturing processes, in order to improve product quality, reduce costs caused by excessive waste, spread a culture of continuous improvement among their employees.
Supply contracts of the most modern structured firms include statements for the start of a growth program, run by a third party, for suppliers that causing major or repea-ted quality issues.
In such cases, GAM is able to perform a detailed process audit, in order to identify structural/systemic gaps that led to the criticality which impacted the customer; on the basis of such audit we define an action plan to irreversi-bly strengthen the process, by raising the production capability (Cp, Cpk). The identified countermeasures become an asset that can be extended to other productions, in a preventive mode.

Thanks to the partnership with the main logistics companies, we are able to offer high added value logistics services, by taking advantage of extensive multi-client warehouses located near the major FCA facilities in Italy and equipped with the best security and surveillance systems, in which we can manage our customers deliveries, from the storage to the stages of sequen-cing and transportation towards the plants or to intermediate warehouses.
All services are managed according to JIS/JIT/Kanban logics,
and the handlings, both internal and exter-nal to the warehouses, are traced in each single phase.
