Sidewalk Repair Program
The Roads Division repairs approximately 1,500 sections of
sidewalk and replaces 850 sections annually. County-wide
inspections are performed annually, and repairs are prioritize
based on public safety risks. The condition rating guidelines
are in the following prioritization:

Priority 1 – Missing concrete panel, lifted 2” or higher
➢
Priority 2 – Concrete panels lifted ½” to 2” high
➢
Priority 3 – Concrete panels with heavy cracking,

Construct approximately 1,390 lf. of hiker/biker trail from Pierce Road in conjunction with the Western Parkway roadway improvements. This project is funded through the

Project Description
Construct approximately 792 lf. of sidewalk from Thoroughbred Court to Middletown Road to connect existing sidewalks. ($89,500)

Project Description
Construct 1,585 lf. of sidewalk from the North Point Subdivision to connect with the existing asphalt path on Davis Road. The project is being 100% funded by the
FHWA/MDSHA Safe Routes to School program. ($370,890)

Project Description
Construct approximately 2,900 lf. of sidewalk from Acton Ln. to Quietfields St. as part of 6,000 lf. sidewalk/hiker/biker trail project. This project is funded as a stand-alone project.

Project Description
Construct 3,275 lf. of sidewalk and hiker/biker trail to establish an interconnected
sidewalk network in the vicinity of St. Charles Mall. This project is recommended to be funded as a stand-alone project. ($212,800)

Project Description
Construct sidewalks along Billingsley Road from St. Patrick’s Drive to Middletown Road to connect existing sidewalks. This project is recommended to be funded as a stand-alone project. ($81,250 and $494,000)
