CONNECTIVITY

Deregulation means that the majority of our locations across Europe are already served or capable of being served by multiple carriers. We will provide you with the location and contact information of the carriers within the immediate area and we will work with you to arrange for fibre to be brought to the facility.

WE DELIVERED FOR...

NTT/GYRON

Gyron, a company majority-owned by NTT, needed to find a data centre quickly to fulfil a customer’s specific needs. SEGRO was constructing a speculative 2,882 sq m (31,000 sq ft) facility which met Gyron’s requirements and were able to comply with strict timing deadlines. Working with SEGRO, power availability, connectivity planning and early access were all secured; together with an option to expand. The ability to deliver was a key factor in Gyron’s choice of location. NTT/Gyron’s relationship with SEGRO is now on a multiple sites basis, reinforcing SEGRO’s ability to provide business solutions that work for the customer.

SAVVIS

Savvis, a Centurylink company, and a long-term customer of SEGRO, ordered a new facility adjacent to existing operations to accommodate future expansion in 2010. SEGRO was able to deliver the site with the ability to secure adequate power to meet strict delivery timescales. The utilisation of the simplified planning regime, which allows fast track planning approvals, and a tried-and-tested building design team, ensured Savvis’ business objectives were met.

The two facilities were linked and the cost of daily operations reduced. Savvis has been able to maximise the partnership benefits with SEGRO installing critical path items during the construction phase.

INFINITY

Infinity, the fast-expanding data centre group, on looking for a new facility to the West of London to complement their other locations, decided on Slough and, in particular, the Slough Trading Estate. Infinity wanted a low-risk location with good power and connectivity. They also wanted an experienced partner who would deliver their first purpose-built facility on time, on budget and provide a flexible approach to meet their customer demands, particularly in respect of power unit efficiency. The SEGRO data centre team met these objectives to provide a state-of-the-art facility from which Infinity can grow its business.
