Find out the truth – about lying.

Tired of wondering if you are being led on about that forthcoming raise? Feel like your trusting nature has been betrayed? Wondering if that sales person is really giving you a good deal?

The Detection of Deception course is designed to help you obtain an advantage in skillfully searching for the truth. Learn from a former marine who has conducted many interviews and interrogations to get to the truth.

Attend the free seminar – A Glimpse into Detection of Deception to get a sneak peek of what will be covered in the longer course, Detection of Deception. Even this free 1.5 hour seminar will provide you with new skills!

intERviEws and intERRoGation

Are you a professional who deals with matters of trust, truth, and lying? To get to the truth you need to deter-mine if your client, your student, your suspect, or whoever you’re dealing with is being deceptive. Not only do you need to be able to “read” that person, you also need to guide your interview or interrogation to have that person speak the truth. Our new Interviews and Interrogation class will teach you techniques that you can take back to the job and conduct more effective interviews and interrogations. This class is scheduled once this semester for public enrollment; however, if your business is interested in having this class taught on-site for your employees, please contact us at 979-230-3600.

Here at Brazosport College Community Education we continually respond to the community to offer courses that you need to develop skills used in business, volunteer organizations, church, and for personal needs. We are excited about the changes in the Information Technology program this year. This is how the program is structured to provide you with the technology education to keep your skills sharpened:

Essentials courses are those that develop foundational skills in a particular application, such as Microsoft Word, commonly used in both business and at home. These courses are anywhere from 9 to 24 hours long and you will usually meet several times over a period of 1 to 3 weeks. Usually a textbook is required to be purchased from the Brazosport College Bookstore.

Workshops are very short courses, most of them are 7 hours typically meeting two consecutive days/evenings. Some workshops are scheduled for one all day session. The purpose of a workshop is to focus on a very specific topic, for example, Word Mail Merge or Podcasting Basics. In a short amount of time, you can learn a new skill or improve an existing skill with these very focused courses. No textbooks are required.
