Company Background

Little Musketeers is run by Sydney 2000 Olympic fencer James Beevers. James, a resident of Leigh-on-Sea in Essex for most of his life, is a 3rd generation of fencer emulating the success of his mother, father and grandfather, who all fenced at international and Olympic level. James started fencing at the age of 8, and has since gone on to win every British National title including being Senior National Champion 4 times. He has represented Great Britain at no less than 16 World Championships and was a member of the British Team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

Fencing is one of the most exciting sports in the modern Olympic Games yet historically, unlike other main stream sports, it is quite difficult to find a fencing club and get involved. At Little Musketeers, the mission is very much to put the fun back into fencing and make it as accessible as possible to children who wish to learn this truly unique sport.

Fencing is immensely popular with children and is fast becoming the new alternative sport to help improve fitness, co-ordination, agility, speed and strength whilst also appealing to a child’s sense of play.
