Client Screen
Client Memos and Quotes Notes can be added at any point and used as:
• Reminders
• Differentiate between quotes • Share info with co-workers
• Upload info to insurance companies Use the Copy button
to provide clients with multiple scenarios.

Quote Information Screen
The correct effective date is essential. The following are affected by this date:
• Renewal and New Business rates • Birthdates of drivers • Dates of accidents
and/or convictions
A Policy Type and a Carrier must be completed to generate a Multi-line discount.
Individually Rated Commercially Auto and Miscellaneous Vehicles are also available in Compu-Quote Rating Services through

Private Passenger
A Postal Code can generate one or more cities, which reflects on the territory. By amending the Postal Code, the garaged location of the vehicle can be amended.
By Selecting Pleasure as primary use and entering the correct information in Distance Driven, various driving classes can be generated.
If Business is selected, Class 07 is generated. Distance Driven information should be entered in all cases.
If a Multi-Vehicle discount is required when quoting a single vehicle, select the Single Vehicle MVD box.

Coverages

To set a Coverage Group:
1. Select the desired coverages
2. Under Coverage Groups, select Save As ... 3. Name the coverage group
Note: Several Coverage Groups can be set. Coverage
Groups can be added, renamed and deleted. An individual default can be set per user.

Optional Accident Benefits
Optional Increased Accident Benefits Coverages can be accessed through:
• Coverages (Private passenger) • SABS (Quote Summary Screen)

Driver(s)
Occupations that may affect premiums are:
• Clergy • Farmer • Retired
• Student (away at school)
Graduated licensing history or other licensing can be entered under License Detail.

Claims/Convictions/Suspensions & Lapses
Select the vehicle (or vehicle substitution) involved in the claim.
Dates of claims, convictions, suspensions and lapses recognize the effective date of the policy.
If a driver has had a suspended licence, it is important that all convictions and lapses associated with the suspension be entered as well.

Assignment Screen
The occasional driver should be assigned to the vehicle that has the highest rating group. Driver(s) listed in the “Available Drivers” box has to be
assigned as Principal, Occasional or Excluded driver.

Miscellaneous Vehicles
If Miscellaneous is selected as the Type of policy on the Quote Information screen, it will launch directly into the miscellaneous vehicles tab.
Select the Year and Make to access a list of available models (shown in white).

Motorcycles
The wand can provide further information based on the car code.
• Body Style/Class • Engine (cc) • List Price New
Most companies require the following to obtain a quote:
• List Price New • Purchase Price • Purchase Date • Purchase Condition • Km at purchase
Some companies require additional anti-theft devices to insure certain risks. After-market anti-theft devices should be selected.

Motorcycles License & History
Carrier Selection
Class M license and motorcycle insurance history is entered on a separate screen from the other classes of license. Miscellaneous Vehicle Group Plans can be entered from the drop down menus.
Carrier selection can be made per quote and carrier groups can be set.

Premium Adjustments
The wrench on the Underwriting Screens allows you to define premium adjustments.
Watch for messages advising to apply further discounts using the wrench.
Once applied, a notation appears under Messages and the affected rates are shown in red.
Note: The premium adjustment is set by carrier, for example Aviva. When using the wrench to apply discounts/surcharges, they are saved for that particular quote with the selected carrier. Therefore the applied discounts/surcharges for the selected carrier remain if you re-quote or copy the existing quote.
The wrench on the Carrier Detail Screen allows you to apply them.

Application
Liability Slips
Applications can be printed directly from Compu-Quote. Complete all fields in Compu-Quote prior to opening the application (eg. Driver’s License/VIN).

Defect Reporting
Client Memos & Quote Notes
Selecting OK will submit your request to Compu-Quote for review. Record the tracking number for future reference.
Defect Reporting can be used to report an error in rating directly to Compu-Quote’s support department for review. Complete all required fields, including a description.
Memos and notes can be included in the Carrier Upload by checking the Include in Carrier Upload box.

Upload to Insurer Portals
Select the desired insurer from the Quote Summary to have access to the Company Integration Icon, click on the Icon and the system will prompt you to enter your user name & password.
This functionality is currently available with Aviva, Aviva Traders, INTACT, Novex, North Waterloo Farm Mutual, Peel Mutual, Royal & Sun Alliance, Scottish & York, Western Assurance, and York Fire.
