The Phillips Group (TPG) provides a full range of human resources services to help our clients to grow, manage and maintain their businesses. Our certified HR consultants are committed to understanding the needs of our clients, and will use their insight, knowledge, and experience to develop solutions to meet their specific needs. Customer satisfaction is our number one goal.

TPG provides human resource solutions for small to mid-size companies that do not have the presence of a human resources staff. Whether it’s outsourcing your company’s HR functions or the need for a policy or procedure, an employee handbook, job descriptions, salary and wage administration, staffing requirements, or a tailored training program, TPG is able to provide cost effective legally compliant HR services & solutions.

TPG recognizes that our staff is our number one resource. We have over a decade of experience in Human Resources. Our industry experience includes but is not limited to retail, manufacturing, utilities, information technology, staffing and faith based organizations. TPG believes that due to the constant changes in the Human Resources profession, we have to keep our staff current on all HR issues so that we can be our clients’ greatest resource in all HR related issues.

Employee Relations ensures the systematic and effective approach to increases

workforce efficiency and experience, produces employee loyalty, lowers overall cost, improves talent management, and aid in workforce effectiveness.

Recruitment & Selection Assistance Ensure the right candidates are hired for the right

position. Assistance with recruitment strategies, development of interview guides for open positions, and will assist in conducting reference checks, assistance in the interview process as needed.

Audit of Personnel Files to ensure legal compliance with immigration and privacy

laws.

Incentive & Recognition Programs will help to maintain employee morale and sustain

employee retention. Program will include recognizing employee birthdays and employment anniversaries, along with structured performance recognition.

Position Descriptions will allow employees to have a clear understanding of what is

expected of them on a day to day basis. Management will use position descriptions as a basis for performance appraisals, and as a tool for recruitment, and salary surveys. Position descriptions are also essential when classifying positions as exempt or non-exempt according to the Labor department. Position descriptions will help with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.

Performance Appraisal System will give employees a formal opportunity to discuss

their employment and performance standards with management, assist management in identifying the strengths and weakness of an employee’s performance, provide a basis for salary recommendations, and to develop goals and objectives for employees.

Compensation Surveys helps establish salary levels and measure pay practices

against other companies in similar industries and markets. Compensation surveys will assist in recruitment efforts, and examining trends for pay planning.

Customized Human Resources Accounting Forms will help to ensure legal

compliance regarding the hiring, corrective action and termination process. These forms will include your company’s information and logo. Forms will also be created as needed.

Benefits Administration acts as liaison between client and insurance companies to

ensure enrollments/deletions are handled on-time and consistently in conjunction to qualifying events. Analyze current benefits package and make recommendations for improvement.

COBRA administration to ensure compliance with state and federal laws for

continuation of certain group benefits for employees and their dependents.

State unemployment claims to ensure that all unemployment claims are processed

correctly and in a timely manner. Unemployment claims will be completed and supporting documentation attached and sent off to the appropriate unemployment office within the allotted timeframe. Perform follow-up on appeals, prepare for and attend unemployment hearings.

Workers Compensation claims to ensure work related accidents and injuries are

reported to the WC insurance company and handled in the appropriate manner.

Employee handbook will allow your employees to have access and accountability

for up-to-date relevant company policies. It will also give them an understanding of what to expect from the company and what the company expects from them, the employees. After the completion of the employee handbook a Question & Answer workshop should be conducted for all current employees regarding the contents of the handbook. This informational workshop would last approx. 1-½ hours depending on the size of the group. TPG will review and update employee handbook on an annual basis.
