Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble

V-1

Did you feel the mountains tremble, did you hear the oceans roar When the people rose to sing of,

Jesus Christ the risen One Did you feel the people tremble,

did you hear the singers roar When the lost began to sing of,

Jesus Christ the saving One

Pre-chorus

And we can see that God, you’re moving A mighty river through the nations And young and old will turn to Jesus

Swing wide you heavenly gates Prepare the way of the risen Lord

Chorus

Open up the doors and let the music play Let the streets resound with singing

Songs that bring your hope and songs that bring your joy Dancers who dance upon injustice

V-2

Did you feel the darkness tremble, when all the saints join in one song And all the streams flow as one river,

to wash away our brokenness

Pre-chorus

And here we see that God, you’re moving A time of jubilee is coming

When young and old will return to Jesus Fling wide you heavenly gates Prepare the way of the risen Lord

Chorus

Open up the doors and let the music play Let the streets resound with singing

Songs that bring your hope and songs that bring your joy Dancers who dance upon injustice

Outro

Did you feel the mountains tremble, did you hear the oceans roar When the people rose to sign of,

Jesus Christ the risen one

In Christ Alone

V-1

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light my strength my song This Cornerstone, this solid Ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled when strivings cease!

My Comforter my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

V-2

In Christ alone! Who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless babe! This Gift of love and righteousness

(5)

Scorned by the ones He came to save Till on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied

For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live

V-3

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain

Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again!

And as He stands in victory Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me

For I am His and He is mine

Bought with the precious blood of Christ

V-4

No guilt in life no fear in death This is the power of Christ in me From life’s first cry to final breath

Jesus commands my destiny No power of hell no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from His hand Till he returns or calls me home Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!

Prayer of Confession March 7, 2021

God of Hospitality and Wonder, You welcome us to a table

That invites those who are different than us. At times this invitation has made us uncomfortable,

(6)

Our discomfort comes from an unwillingness To see other peoples’ perspectives. Our unsettledness comes from a dependence

On the status quo.

Our defensiveness comes from a belief That our view of You is the only correct one.

Help us to surrender ourselves To the abundance of Your invitation.

Inspire us to embrace the fact That diversity is strength, not weakness.

Gather us to welcome the stranger, Care for the oppressed, and feed the hungry.

Forgive us for our short sightedness And open us to Your Gospel That we might better embody The community You call us to be.

In the wonderful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

All My Hope

V-1

Light in my darkness peace for my soul You are my rescue, You never let go. (Repeat)

Chorus

All my hope is in You, all my strength is in You With every breath my soul will rest in You

V-2

Here in my weakness, You’re always the same Your love is my shelter, your life is my way

(7)

Chorus

All my hope is in You, all my strength is in You With every breath my soul will rest in You (2x)

Bridge

Constant Savior, friend forever. Lord, You have my heart Sure foundation never failing Lord You have my heart (repeat)

Chorus

All my hope, is in You, all my strength is in You With every breath, my soul will rest in You All the earth be – neath You, all my life before You

With every breath, my soul will rest in You With every breath, my soul will rest in You With every breath, my soul will rest in You.

Speak O Lord

Teach us, Lord, full obedience, Holy reverence, true humility; Test our thoughts and our attitudes

In the radiance of Your purity. Cause our faith to rise;

Cause our eyes to see Your majestic love and authority. Words of pow’r that can never fail Let their truth prevail over unbelief.

(8)

We Will Feast In the House of Zion

Chorus

We will feast in the house of Zion, We will sing with our hearts restored He has done great things we will say together

We will feast and weep no more

(Repeat chorus last time only) V-1

We will not be burned by the fire, He is the Lord our God We are not consumed by the flood,

upheld, protected, gathered up

(To Chorus) V-2

In the dark of night before the dawn, my soul be not afraid For the promised morning O how long,

O God of Jacob be my strength (To Chorus)

V-3

Every vow we’ve broken and betrayed, You are the faithful one

And from the garden to the grave, bind us together bring shalom

Juicy Fruit

Long Beach Alliance Church • March 7, 2021 • Pastor Chris Lankford

11For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant,

but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 12Therefore lift your drooping hands and

strengthen your weak knees, 13and make straight paths for your

feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. 14Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness

without which no one will see the Lord.

~Hebrews 12:11-14

1) Abundant Luscious Juicy Dripping Fruit

2) One Spirit, One People, One Fruit

3) From Crucified Flesh to Spiritually Alive Fruit

Verses Sheet

(Please do your best to use your own Bible, it is good practice for reading your Bible this week!)

Matthew 7:15-20

15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but

inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16You will recognize them by their fruits.

Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, every

healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A

healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown

into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. Luke 6:45

45The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good,

and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Matthew 12:36-37

36I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every

careless word they speak, 37for by your words you will be justified, and

by your words you will be condemned.”

Matthew 13:23

23As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the

word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.

Galatians 5:22-23

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,

goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things

there is no law.

Galatians 5:24-25

24And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its

passions and desires. 25If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step
