Before I say anything about our office and what we can do for you, I want to first commend you on considering Mercyhurst Erie. Getting a bachelor’s degree really is one of the smartest things you could ever do: It will let you earn more (studies show an average of $550,000 more over your lifetime!), advance faster and take advantage of many exciting career opportunities.

There’s no doubt that this is a big—and maybe even intimidating—move. I know you have credits to transfer, classes to schedule, expenses to figure out and so much more. But I also know that these details are infinitely easier to tackle when you work with the Office of Internal Transfer.

You probably already know that we’re here to help you sort out the academic logistics—selecting classes and finding a good tutor should you need one. But did you also know that we act as trusted advisors and confidants before, during and after your decision to transfer to Mercyhurst Erie?

I regularly listen to students at every stage of the transfer process, either giving them sound advice or connecting them with professionals who can provide additional support and encouragement. Here, our door is always open to you—just read on to learn all the ways how. Again, congratulations on

considering this next step. I sincerely hope you take it and that we can help you reach your goal. This brochure will give you an overview of all the things you need to know—but definitely don’t think twice about contacting our office if you have any questions! Best wishes,

Shirley Williams, M.S.

In Their Words

“The Office of Internal Transfer made it easy to transition over to the Erie campus. They introduced me to everyone from counselors to vice presidents to other students who had transferred.

Going to Mercyhurst North East and then Mercyhurst Erie got me thinking about the future; I saw a lot of adults coming back for their master’s, so I decided to go for mine since I was already on track. You don’t have to be extremely intelligent to go to college, but with hard work, commitment and sacrifice, you can achieve intelligent results.”
