Abstract:

For tourism is often said to have "power" to foster economic

development. Looking at examples of regions where tourism is the

dominant industry, which recorded economic comparative advantages

compared to regions that do not develop tourism, it is clear why he

speaks about tourism as a development catalyst. Correspondence

analysis of the perceptions of a sample of 249 local residents from the

area

of Fruška Gora

(Vojvodina), showed that residents have a

generally positive attitude towards the development of tourism with

respect to its economic aspects, and desk research has shown

justification of positive attitudes, which confirmed the main

hypothesis. It has come to the conclusion that the activation of tourist

attractions would bring revenue, to zhe locals, by including a number

of production and service activities.
