Lead Nuturing:

Suppose you posted a whitepaper to educate customers on a new feature, or on all of your services and the perks of each. You want to nurture people who downloaded that whitepaper into leads who could potentially purchase your services. What’s the best way to do that without expending too many resources? We think that it’s best to launch an automated campaign. This way,

customers with questions can email you in response, and others can simply read the relevant educational materials and make informed decisions based on the details in

your material. This template will send customers different emails based on the industry they

select on the signup form, allowing you to specialize the education with scenarios relevant to them. Here’s how you can build something similar for yourself.

Step 1 – Setup:

This flow requires a Landing Page from the Starting Points tab, four Email Campaigns from the Campaigns tab, and a Decision from Choices and Delays tab. It also requires three Delay elements from the Choices and Delays tab. Once you have dragged all of these items onto the

workspace, you are ready to advance to the next step.

Step 2 – Connecting:

Connecting this flow is reasonably simple. You’ll begin with the starting point, as with any flow. Start by clicking the connect icon in the lower left corner of the Landing Page item, and dragging it to an Email Campaign, and then do the same thing again, this time connecting the Landing Page to the Decision. From here, the Decision will connect to each of the three delays, all

individual connections running from the Decision out. The Delays will then each be attached to one one of the remaining Email Campaigns.

Step 3 – Settings:

Once you have your flow connected and ready, you’ll need to locate the

menu for each item on the workspace located in the upper right hand

corner, and find the option labelled Start Setup Wizard. This will allow you to build out the content of your messages and create your campaign settings. If

there is no Start Setup Wizard, you will see all the settings that can be adjusted in the black box to the far left hand of the screen. There are handy tooltips and a tour that will help you with the settings as well.

Step 4 – Activation and

checking your work:

Once your campaign is built out and ready to go, click Next. This will take you to the Activate Project screen. Click the Activate What Is Able To Be button to ensure that you know if any of your items still need work before your project goes live. If anything is unable to be activated, you may be missing a setting or important field. See the image on the next page as a reference. This

is what things should look like, with the exception of the names of your items on the workspace

and the undefined delays.

Domain Renewal:

Clients don’t sign up for their domains on the same date. That means

that clients are always coming due for renewal at different times. So, how can you remind them to renew their subscription in the most effective, cost-efficient way possible? That’s what we’re going to show you how to do with

SimplyCast 360 and marketing automation, set up an automated campaign to

send reminders for you. This will free up more time for maintenance, and other

important tasks and services offered by web hosting companies. Of course this

could be modified in any way necessary, but this is a basic template.

Step 1 – Setup:

In order to build out this template properly, you will need the following elements on the

workspace to arrange. You’ll need a SignUp Form from the Starting Points tab, a Delay from the Choices and Delays tab and five Email Campaigns from the Campaigns tab. In addition, you will need five Update Contact Manager Data elements. Once you have all of these elements, it is

easy to set up a campaign that will do precisely what you need, sending out an email 3 months prior to the expiry, 1 month prior, 2 weeks prior, 1 week and then the day of.

Step 2 – Connecting:

Setting up connections for this campaign is a bit more complex than usual. In this case, you want

to ensure that you start at the beginning, so start by clicking and dragging the connection icon

from the lower left of the SignUp Form to the Delay element, and then from there, connect the Delay to the first Email Campaign. Each Email Campaign will connect to the next, and each Email Campaign will also connect to a single Update Contact Manager Data element. That finishes the

basic connection. The more advanced settings take place using the boxes that appear between

connected elements. Clicking on the box that appears between each Email Campaign and its Update element, you’ll want to select “Clicked Link” from dropdown menu on the far left. This

will ensure that the customer is only moved to the phase of the pipeline reserved for successful

renewals if they click the renewal link in the email. In the connection boxes between each email, you want to select “No Activity” and set a time frame. Next, click and drag the forked icon on the Email to the next Email, duplicating the connection. In the box that appears, select “Email Opened” and choose a time frame. Now, the customer will receive the next alert/reminder if they do anything but click the link to renew. Of course, there would be a way to unsubscribe, and

customer care would be responsible from removing a client if they declined to renew at any time in the process.

Your Finished Flow

A little more complex than many flows for everyday processes, to be sure,

but well worth it in the time and stress saved on both sides of the story. The customer knows exactly when they need to renew the domain if they intend to keep it, and is given plenty of time to do so; and the domain owner is given peace of mind that people who intend to continue with the service will consistently be reminded every time they have to renew without spending resources or manpower on that, allowing them to allocate it elsewhere.
