Jay D’Angelo’s Cadillacs: But, look at me now!
Let’s see, how many Cadillacs have I had? My first was a 1973 Eldorado convertible, a 1966 Eldorado convertible (went to Sweden), a 1965 deVille convertible, 2007 DTS sedan, 2011 CTS coupe, 1983 Eldorado, 1982 Eldorado Biarritz, 2016 CT6 and currently a 1975 Coupe deVille. They were all very nice and typically Cadillac, but the one I think I like the most is the 75 CDV. I love the color, Firethorn with the Merlin plaid Fire-thorn interior...I think the interior is what got most of my atten-tion because it wasn’t the usual Cadillac leather or fancy bro-cade. It was different and stood out and I like my cars to stand out... that’s probably why most of my cars were some form of red. I got this one 2 years ago with 22K miles on it...has 28K now and I love driving it. So big, so heavy, it makes for a very smooth, comfortable ride. It does have trouble passing a gas station, but that’s OK, the 500CI engine needs to be kept hydrated out here in the desert. With Covid, it’s use has been limited, no car shows to go to, but I take it out a couple times a week for a 20- or 30-minute cruise in the neighborhood. Sometimes I pull through the Findlay Cadillac lot so all the other Cadillacs can see their great grandfather and how nimble he still is.
It has been to car shows in Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo and Pasadena and it was meant to be driven to those locales. I re-member my uncle had a beige 75 which I drove a couple times and couldn’t fathom how anyone could drive that monster every day.

Hello Friends.
Well this year is about over at last, thank goodness. Here’s hoping next year is better.
2021: Several things are in the works and on the list for 2021 with the caveat that we can gather as a group includ-ing:
Cadillac Through The Years
The Club Picnic
Things we can do without breaking any social distancing rules are car tours to places like
Boulder City
Valley of Fire
Red Rock Canyon,
Death Valley
The Las Vegas Strip Other things still available if you want to get out and drive your Cadillac are Cars on Eastern, and the other outdoor car shows that are shown on the activities list on the next page. If you are interested in organizing or assisting with this planning, please let me know.
Some Things to Remember:
Support the local stores, shop small
Stay safe
Get the flu shot
Wash your hands and
social distance
Last Word: “We may have to live with COVID-19 for months or years. Let’s not deny it or panic. Let’s not make our lives useless. Let’s learn to live with this fact.” Dr. B. Hen-ry.
Please keep in touch my friends.
