Dear parishioners:

How are your New Year’s resolutions

going? The persistent Club Fitness, 24 Hour

Fitness, Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem ads would seem to indicate that it is still not too late to resolve to get in shape in this New Year!

Although getting in physical shape may be the most often made resolution as each New Year dawns, a close second is to be more reflective, more compas-sionate, kinder, and more peace-filled throughout the year!

Might I suggest that a way to work towards that sec-ond resolution is to come to our Parish Mission. If you have not already cleared your calendar, we look forward to the beginning of the Mission on the week-end of February 2nd and 3rd. Fr. Ron Hoye will preach all the Masses that weekend.

We will then gather Monday through Wednesday at 7:00pm to reflect on God’s love for us and God’s call to share His mission of redemption!

So if your New Year resolutions have gotten off to a slow start, here is a chance to be supported in your resolve to be more reflective, kinder, more compas-sionate and at peace in 2019!

As I invite you to the Mission, please invite family, friends and neighbors! That will truly be an act of kindness and compassion.

In Christ’s love, Fr. John PARISH STAFF:

SHF LADIES

Join us for Ladies Igniting Faith To-gether. We are discussing The Cup of Our Life—a Guide for Spiritual

Growth by spiritual writer Joyce Rupp. It is NOT necessary to read the book in order to partici-pate! The book chapters we read are merely introduc-tions to spark our discussions to inspire and support each other. Next meeting is Saturday, January 26th,

8:45am in the Mary Rm. Any questions, please call Grace Kruger @314-578-1394.

Join Scouting

This year, in 2019, girls between the ages of 11 and 17 will be able to join the Boy Scouts of America program and work towards earning the rank of Eagle Scout. The same Boy Scout program that has existed for over 100 years will now be open to girls under the name of Scouts USA. Seven Holy Foun-ders is forming a girl’s troop, and inviting any inter-ested girls to join. There will be an organizational meeting on THIS Monday, January 21st, at 7:30pm in the Parish Hall at Seven Holy Foun-ders. Parents and girls are invited to come to the meeting and learn more about the Scouting pro-gram. Feel free to contact Scoutmaster Anne Parker (314-963-3154) if you have any questions or need further information.

In the Gospel today, at the wedding feast in Cana, Jesus reveals himself to his disciples and they began to be-lieve in him. Everyday, God also gives us signs of his love and so we also can respond in faith and trust.

Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul be-comes a sign of God’s love to those who are suffering and you give them reason to believe and to trust.
