INDIVIDUALS WITH EXCEPTIONAL NEEDS (IWEN) PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION

The IWEN screen allows for the viewing and limited entry of data for Special Education, and Sec. 504 students on one screen. It also displays Gifted categories and dates, (read only). Included on this screen are critical pieces of information related to IEP due dates and data related to the Low/Non-Verbal Observation Matrix. Most of the IEP fields are automatically populated once a week from the Welligent system after the IEP has been locked and made "Active". Fields 111(Section 504 Plan Date) and 468 must be entered manually using SIS, as needed. Fields 772 through 779 must also be entered manually into SIS if applicable.

All other fields are downloaded from the Welligent system.

The fields that are automatically populated, if the data is in an IEP, are: 103 - Special Day Priogram

121 - Special Ed Eligibility

475 - Has IEP (Y/N) (On screen 10) 477 - % of Time in SPED

464 - Initial IEP Date 123 - Current IEP Date 465 - 1 Yr Review Date 466 - 3 Yr Re-Eval Date 467 - RSP 478 - Curriculum Type 120 - Exit Date 122 - DIS Services

The school only has access to enter data information into two fields using SIS. These two fields may only be entered through SIS:

IWEN on Screen 24 - When the student is in an RSP program the following field must be entered:

468 - RSP Teacher Emp #

On Enrollment Screen 10 - When a parent indicates on an enrollment form for a new student that the child has an IEP:

475 - IEP (Y)

NOTE: The Welligent system will automatically populate field 475 (Has IEP), with a "Y" on Screen 10, for students with a newly activated IEP in Welligent, if it does not already have a "Y".
