Introduction

This catalogue contains test kits and components for the rapid detection of biologial agents such as toxins, micro organisms and viruses. The testkits are based on the ABICAP technology (ABICAP = Antibody Binding Immune Column for Analytical Purpose). ABICAP is a flow through immuno assay system for rapid and ultra sensitive detection. It is based on the 3D-immunofiltration1 and PolyHRP-technology2 and allows

to combination of analyte extraction and direct quantitative read out on the test columns.

The system is well suited for decentralised routine testing. To this end ready to use test kits, equipment (workstation in 96 –hole format) and a handheld photometer are offered.

In addition, for research studies and customer specific development, assay components and reagents are available and development services are offered.

For the treatment of complex sample material and prefiltration we offer sample preparation tools. They have to be selected by the customers in dependence on the sample matrix.

For large volume application sample funnels (figure 3,4) are offered.

*Human anti-mouse antibodies might course false positive signals. HAMA-Blocker reduces the frequency of false results by blocking a wide range of HAM antibodies regardless of the anti-mouse epitope

**Lipopolysaccharid is a useful buffer to extract LPS from gram-negative cells; thougt for sample preparations in the special case of the Francisella tularensis assay

PolyHRP is a supermolecular enzyme complex with up to 400 molecules. The PolyHRP complex can be conjugated to various ligands and receptors. These PolyHRP-conjugates can be utilized in ELISA assays, immunoblots, immunofiltration, DNA/RNA Hybridisation. Its specific activity is by magnitudes superior compared to conventional conjugates, allowing for an substantial inhancement of assay sensitivity, optimization of assay time and reduction of reagent consumption
