Hamburg is the Lufthansa Company’s second largest base. Its’ heart is Lufthansa Technik AG founded in 1995. Close to Fuhlsbüttel Airport, it offers more than 300 airlines a total service of know how and technical support for the aircraft industry. Included in this is the complete overhauling of aircraft and engines as well as the repair of landing gear and aircraft components. In addition to aircraft maintenance, Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg specializes in painting aircraft, in quality assurance, evolutionary engineering as well as design and completion of VIP and business aircraft. Whether it is technical service, professional training or excellent logistics, the performance of this worldwide network is focused directly on the needs of the client.
