General Notes

1. DRAWINGS GENERALLY INDICATE SCOPE OF WORK.

EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING

CONDITIONS PRIOR TO START OF WORK TO ENSURE A

COMPLETE AND PROPER INSTALLATION OF THEIR

WORK.

2. ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL CITY, STATE,

AND FEDERAL ORDINANCES HAVING JURISDICTION.

NOTHING HEREIN SHALL BE INTERPRETED TO THE

CONTRARY. ALL PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS REQUIRED

MOVE-IN.

14. SUBMIT "SHOP DRAWINGS" AND "SAMPLES" TO THE

ARCHITECT FOR REVIEW IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE

PROCEDURES OUTLINED IN THE GENERAL CONDITIONS

OF THE CONTRACT. SHOP DRAWINGS SUBMITTALS

SHALL INCLUDE DIMENSIONS, THICKNESS, PROFILES,

TYPE OF MATERIAL, METHOD OF FASTENING, RELATION

TO FULLY DESCRIBE THE ITEM SUBMITTED. OTHER

DRAWINGS; MANUFACTURER'S STANDARD DRAWINGS,

SCHEDULES, DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE, CATALOGS,

BROCHURES, PERFORMANCE TEST DATA, WIRING AND

CONTROL DIAGRAMS AND ALL OTHER DESCRIPTIVE

Finish Notes

1. All interior finishes to be class #1, 0-25 flame spread

rating.

2. Notify architect for clarification of any discrepancies

between written specifications and construction documents.

3. All wall surfaces to be painted gypsum board unless

noted otherwise.

4. All doors and trim for paint unless noted otherwise.

5. Stairs to be crafted according to plan and built by

contractor.

6. All floor coverings to be class "A" rated.

7. All interior finishes located within tenant spaces, shall be

verified and determined by the tenant.

8. All finished ceiling heights to be verified by contractor

prior to installation.

Fire Prevention Notes

1. All interior finishes to be class #1, 0-25 flame spread

rating, smoke developed 200.

2. All floor coverings to be class "A" rated

3. All glass doors and adjacent sidelights within 18" to be

tempered glass.

4. Fireplace to be pre-fab metal 42" w/ U.L. listed with

damper. Hearth as per city code. All fireplaces to have spark

arresters.

5. All bedrooms to have smoke detectors within 15' and

carbon monoxide detector within 40' (1 ea. per level minimum,

with battery backup.)

6. All exterior wood decking and support members to be

identified as subject to "standard rain test", unless otherwise

noted.

7. All exit doors to be keyless in the direction of egress.

8. Entry doors to have push/pull less than 8.5 lbs.

9. All floors to have smoke detectors and carbon monoxide

as indicated in CBC 13-64-120 and 13-63-190

10.Fireplaces to have non-combustible hearth per CBC

13-152-40, approved damper per CBC 13-152-480, and

clearance from combustibles per CBC 13-152-490-2.

11.All floor to floor penetrations including ducts, pipe shafts

shall be enclosed with construction providing not less than 1

hour.

12.All pipe, flue and vent penetrations to be firestopped by

using pipe covering and sealant as per UL# f-c-7007

Roof Notes

1. Continuously flash around all roof penetrations.

2. All roof drains to be located as per plumber's design.

Roofing contractor responsible all required pitches in roof for

proper drainage.

3. See structural drawings for all sizes and specification on

deck framing and support.

4. All exterior wood decking and support members to be

identified as subject to "standard rain test".

5. Roof coverings to be minimum Class 'B'.
