Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/ improvements.

Faculty & Students are involved in active academic affairs and improvement of Teaching & Learning through Departmental Faculty & Students wing for various institutional academic reforms with the vision for future improvement. Moreover, 17 Nos. major activities for skill up-gradation, employment generation, area development and pollution reduction carried out under Services to Community & Economy. About 1500 peoples of community/organised/unorganized sector have been covered with knowledge transfer, technology transfer for economic gain under Services to Community & Economy. Jalpaiguri Govt. Engg. College has also

Permanent Faculty, Staff & Students representatives in Board of Governors, Governing Body of Jalpaiguri Govt. Engg. College are actively involved in Governance of the Institution in all affairs for establishment of a democratic mechanism in Governance of the Institute.

Semester wise Faculty Appraisal by Students has since been introduced in all Engineering Departments and Inter-disciplinary Departments ensuring Faculty Performance.
