The Foundation Course in Colon Hydrotherapy
The Colon Hydrotherapy course is fully accredited and approved by GPACT (Global Professional Association for Colon Therapists).
This course is also recognised by professional indemnity insurance companies. There is a choice of insurance company and cover available.
If you are changing careers, and have no previous knowledge
of anatomy and physiology, you will need to complete the anatomy and physiology pre-‐ study course before proceeding to colon hydrotherapy foundation studies.
Stage 1 -‐ Anatomy & Physiology
Distance Learning
For medical professions including nursing, there is no requirement to attend the Anatomy & Physiology course provided they have fulfilled the criteria for an exemption. An external body manages the exemption process.
For students who have little or no background in the life sciences or those who have not studied biology for a number of years, the Dotolo Europe Training School in Colon Hydrotherapy works in partnership with

This course is designed to give a solid foundation of Digestive Anatomy and Physiology and the Physiology of Colon Hydrotherapy and can be transported to other therapies.
In this course the student will develop comprehension of:
The structure and function of the human body
The processes and the inter-‐relation of the body systems
Why and how all the parts of the human body work and relate to each other in the whole person; the holistic approach.
The course is carried out by home study. There is no strict timetable for the completion of the course -‐ you work through the learning materials at your own pace.
Stage 2 -‐
Practical Internship
This consists of 6 days of practical training on location in our training centres in Durham and Reading. Our students carry out treatments from beginning to end.
The key purpose of the course would be for you to perform a minimum of 20 Colon Hydrotherapy treatments during the course and will include the review of Anatomy & Physiology in relation to Colon Hydrotherapy.
Stage 3 -‐ Continuous Professional Development
We expect our graduates to progress to

.Our modular approach to CPD has been designed to allow busy therapists to acquire the necessary skills without taking too much time off their busy schedules.
