ABSTRACT

l n t h i s s t u d y , s e a s o n a l d i s t r i b u t i o n o f t h e z o o p l a n k t o n g r o u p s w e r e s t u d i e d o n t h e p l a n k t o n s a m p l e s t a k e n f r o m th e la k e G a l a b e t w e e n N o v e m b e r 1 9 8 6 a n d J u l y 1 9 8 7 .

Rotifera were dominant in Autumn, Winter and Spring 92.4 %, 83.0 "/",87.4 7o'res-p e c t i v e l y w h i l e C o p e p o d a w e r e d o m i n a n t i n s u m m e r m o n t h s ( 5 4 . 0 % ) o n l y .

Zooplankton is composed of 17 genera. RotiferageneraAsplachna, Brachionus, Fi-linia, Keratellaand Polyarthra; Copepoda genera Cyclops and Diaptomus; Cladocerage-nera Daphnia andBosmina were more cornmon compared with others.
