The vision of Candy & Candy has become reality in the creation of the most exquisite interiors for the most exclusive address in the world. Each apartment has been designed to complement the beautiful and carefully considered proportions of the architects’ design and every detail has been accounted for to ensure the experience of life at One Hyde Park is unsurpassed. Award-winning interior designers Candy & Candy have exclusively designed all the communal areas including the spa and recreation facilities, the grand double-height reception space, Park Library and Serpentine Suite as well as exclusively designing the interior base build of each apartment.

Candy & Candy are world-renowned for their uncompromising attention to detail and style. Each apartment in One Hyde Park has been finished to their exacting standards and carefully assigned one of two thoughtfully designed base build palettes; light or dark. Both the light and dark palettes have an impressive selection of complementary and carefully balanced stones sourced from the finest quarries around the world including Brazil, France, Italy, Spain and Turkey. Each palette provides the perfect foundation on which residents can imprint their own interior design personality. Apartment C.08.1 is an example of how the existing base build palette, in this case a dark palette option, can be enhanced after purchase with the help of Candy & Candy’s interior design team.

Each apartment also includes provisional wiring for audio visual systems and programmed lighting controls which will enable residents to select their preferred suppliers for all their personal audio visual requirements.

Inspiration

Each apartment in One Hyde Park benefits from the unique location of this exceptional residential development, whether it is the elegance and excitement of bustling Knightsbridge to the south or the glorious romance and serenity of Hyde Park to the north, apartments enjoy unrivalled dynamic views which provide a unique London living experience.

Apartment C.08.1 is an exceptional apartment stretching across the entire floor plate of pavilion C and as such boasts magnificent views of both Knightsbridge and Hyde Park. The interior design of Apartment C.08.1 responds both to its unique size as well as its extraordinary location. Grand 2.5 metre high double doors in dark oak open onto the expansive entrance lobby. Residents are immediately welcomed with an impressive sense of space and height, enhanced by the coffered ceiling and subtle interplay of lights. A sumptuous warm grey silk carpet leads to the marble and metal resin curved panel backdrop, beautifully decorated with gold oak leaves. The reflective gold leaves subtly reference neighbouring Hyde Park and are highlighted by the cast bronze sculpture which sits proudly on an antique brass and walnut round table. An anodised aluminium trim carves a linear pattern into the polished plaster wall panels which are punctuated by polished steel wall lights. Two Makassar ebony console tables, matching vintage black lacquer antique brass mirrors and two deep velvet tub chairs dress the space.

The impressive 50 metre hallway which stretches from the park side to the city side connects both wings forming the spine of the apartment. An anodised aluminium trim carves an attractive linear pattern into the elegant padded silk walls which are rhythmically punctuated by vertical polished stainless steel wall lights with complementary silk shades.

Carefully placed spotlights provide energetic shadows along the length of the marble floor forming a dynamic play of light which further elongates the hallway. Antique mirrors with bevelled detail carefully reflect the wall lights whilst the low-waisted dado rail adds texture and warmth, providing a contemporary design detail to increase volume and depth.

The formal reception benefits from an enviable 180 degree expansive view over Hyde Park and The Serpentine, and as such is a unique and impressive entertaining space.

2,800 borosilicate glass tubes combine to form the staggering bespoke chandelier suspended above the seating area. A complementary selection of woven wool and cotton and silk upholstered armchairs and two deep buttoned blush velvet sofas sit around the bespoke poured resin and metal coffee table. The light of the chandelier is reflected on the highly polished surface of the coffee table and the ornate jewel-encrusted silk cushions which adorn the seating area.

The bespoke custom-made mirror polished stainless steel expanding champagne bar, with clockwork cog mechanisms which illuminate whilst in motion, confirm this room as the ultimate entertaining area.

The intimate winter lounge is surrounded by atmospheric fumed oak wall panelling which is interrupted only once by the dyed sycamore and suede-lined display unit. Comfortable velvet upholstered deep aubergine and light grey seating surrounds the tactile leather and textured metal coffee table, lit overhead by a bespoke tiered brass, alabaster glass and pleated-silk chandelier. The fireplace sits below the 50 inch plasma screen, both of which are encased in the oak wall panelling and framed in antique beaten bronze. Beautiful solid bronze side tables, a beaten bronze and lacquered timber console and vintage turned brass lamps complete the room.

This stylish room is connected throughout by highly polished grey harewood wall panelling which flows from one end of the study to the other, ensuring a sense of harmony and seamless transition from one element to the next. The spacious dining room is an enviable entertaining space in which the twelve seat bespoke eucalyptus dining table and accompanying eucalyptus and velvet upholstered dining chairs sit comfortably. Every design aspect of the dining room is seamlessly

interconnected ensuring this sophisticated room is at the same time grand and spacious but also welcoming. The geometric pattern on the sumptuous silk rug which stretches across the breadth of the room is reminiscent of the form of the bespoke polished stainless steel and alabaster glass chandelier. A unique aspect of One Hyde Park is the complete separation of resident and service areas. North facing glass lifts with integrated TVs and expansive views over Hyde Park are exclusively for residents’ use. South facing steel lined lifts are for service personnel use only. The fully equipped utility room, complete with Siemens washing machine and separate tumble dryer, is accessible via a dedicated service personnel entrance door.

The elegant powder room features polished plaster walls, tinted mirror and marble vanity unit with hammered nickel basin.
