Introduction to SAYES
SAYES offers a 12 month program designed to provide practical business skills for participants and to enable growth of the enterprises they bring to the program.
The program is produced by the generous contribution of mentors, specialist experts and workshop facilitators who are skilled and experienced business advisors as well as the peer learning opportunities provided by the group intake. All workshop facilitators, mentors and experts undertake their work pro bono. THREESIXTY (SAYES) staff at Business SA organise applications, intakes and graduation, venues and catering for each of the workshops, match participants with mentors and encourage business links within their current group and the wider SAYES alumni. They also undertake promotion of the program and the outcomes and act to motivate participants to develop their business ideas.
WHAT the SAYES program aims for
1. Each of the SAYES businesses participating in the program has developed a growth/sustainability strategy with a well-articulated business model which is being implemented.
2. A business plan developed for each of the participating business owners.
3. Creation and sustainability of new businesses in the state, founded and managed by young South Australians.
Outcome for participants
1. A business plan for venture reflecting a viable business model and a clear strategy for growth and understanding of obligations of a business owner
2. A prospering business
o Or a decommissioned businesses if the concept proves not to be sustainable 3. A good network of other young business owners and business advisors
4. Another business started as a result of learning new business skills 5. Honest feedback from experienced business advisors
