Key achievements to date: Areas for further improvement and baseline evidence of need:

 Competitive sports participation- 3 football, 1 netball, 2 swimming

 Permanent 3 Way shooters installed on play grounds- improved our facility

 Archery and Frisbee golf- new sports added to curriculum and after school clubs

 Table tennis- sustainable school resources, increased participation

 Swimming program- swim for all, challenge and competition- winners of year 4 local gala- 8 pupils qualified for county trials.

Improve the current sports facilities on site so that playtimes are spent being as active as possible. Space is tight for children to play ball games at break times and in PE lessons.

Children have become less active since the building work and space constrictions- they used to play football on the playground.

Impact intended- increase vigorous physical activity during play times.

Investment in initiatives like ’Beach safe’ to promote safer swimming in open water and being active,healthy and safe on a beach - relevant to our area

Pupil voice- children were shown options and democratically voted.

Children voted to install 3 way shooters to the playgrounds. X 3

Year 5 WOEC trip- sailing, paddle boarding encourage participation in sports in local area- celebrate use of the sea- Olympic legacy etc. Help to lower the cost to parents. We will be subsidizing the trip for ALL pupils this year

Year 4 have had 2 teachers use the packs successfully. An archery club now targets specific children- non clubbers pp/obese.

Noted increase in participation from children who find PE a difficult lesson (less sick notes, less forgetting kit etc.)

Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed it- some children have asked how to take up sailing- referred to academies

Yr 6 staff now include Yoga as part of their planned PE programme each week in the Winter term
