As a congregation of compassionate care and community leadership, we continue to ask that worshipers wear face coverings at Second.
In so doing, we honor our commitment to the health of all, particularly children, and our shared call to value the vulnerable among us.

Choral Call to Worship How Can I Keep From Singing? American Folk Song/Arr. Ginger Littleton Children’s Choirs; Luke Nargang (9:30) and Douglas Perez (11:00), piano
Patrick Pauloski and Carol Baker, Directors
My life flows on in endless song, above earth’s lamentation.I hear the real though far off hymn that hails a new creation.
No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I’m clinging;
It sounds an echo in my soul, how can I keep from singing?
What though the tempest round me roars, I know the truth, It liveth.
What though the darkness round me close, songs in the night It giveth.
No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I’m clinging since Love is Lord of heav’n and earth, how can I keep from singing?

FAITHFULNESSCall to Confession Silent Confession Prayer of Confession
Gracious God,
your merciful love extends to the ends of the earth and throughout all generations.
We confess that we have drawn boundaries around your grace.
Forgive us when we confuse our way with yours;
when we substitute our truth for yours;
when we deny to some the fullness of life you intend for all.
Open our eyes to see your way, our ears to hear your truth,
and our hearts to embrace your life-giving ways;
through Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Amen.

Anthem The Majesty and Glory of Thy Name Tom Fettke Sanctuary Choir; Dr. Michelle Louer, director
(b. 1941)When I gaze into the night skies and see the work of Your fingers;
The moon and stars suspended in space. Oh, what is man, that You are mindful of him?
You have given man a crown of glory and honor, and have made him a little lower than the angels.
You have put him in charge of all creation: the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea.
But what is man, Oh, what is man that You are mindful of him?
O Lord our God, the majesty and glory of Your name Transcends the earth and fills the heavens.
O Lord, our God, little children praise You perfectly, And so would we, and so would we.
Alleluia, Alleluia! The majesty and glory of Your name.
Alleluia, Alleluia! The majesty and glory of Your name.
Alleluia, we praise your name!

We Give Thanks to God
* Affirmation of Faith (from A Brief Statement of Faith Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Rev. Christopher A. Henry In life and in death we belong to God.
Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit,
we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve.
In gratitude to God, empowered by the Spirit,
we strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks and to live holy and joyful lives, even as we watch for God's new heaven and new earth,
praying, "Come, Lord Jesus!"
With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death
can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Who takes away the sins of the world, Grant them rest, everlasting rest.
Prayers of the People and The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
